Poochy, Could you please put Halloween stuff in the talk pages of existing locations for now? I'm not sure how we're going to handle Halloween stuff, but it will probably go in the existing pages. I'm almost certain that we won't be setting up new pages just for Halloween stuff. Thanks. --Gymnosophist 22:36, 31 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

  • Only the 4 generic adventures seem to be existing locations, the Outfit specific adventures seem to have their own names, so there is no existing adventure/location to add too :-P --JRSiebz 22:46, 31 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
  • Er, I think I meant to say I'm almost certain that we will be setting up new pages...  :) --Gymnosophist 01:06, 1 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

Your Ascension Notes

I couldn't help but notice that you linked your Hardcore paths and Zodiac signs a bit... oddly. Boozetafarian on Opossum and Teetotaler on Blender? Surely you meant for it to be the other way around. --Quietust (t|c) 15:50, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Yup, I accidentally had them switched around. Thanks. --Poochy 23:31, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Game mechanics

I saw you've been doing some work on the game mechanics pages -- thanks for fixing the hit/crit/fumble thing; I see now that pcentella was trying to describe exactly this to me and I was missing it. Would you mind posting your data either on the kol or HCO tool shed forums? Getting an exact formula for this is a pretty big result.

Also, I reverted your edits to the adventure queue, because I'm pretty sure all the HCO guys' work postdates that pseudocode of Jick's. If there's new info you should consider posting in the adventure queue thread over there first, because that is where our current understanding of the queue comes from, and it will be reviewed by people who know as much as any non-dev. --DirkDiggler 05:35, 26 December 2006 (CST)

Pile of smoking rags

How did you get one? --CG1:t,c,e 21:26, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

  • It has something to do with that "do not spoil" cypher in the diary. Seeing as how I was told not to spoil it, I'm not spilling the beans quite yet. --Poochy 21:28, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
    • ... ... ... holy !@#$. you must really be good if you figured it out... --CG1:t,c,e 21:40, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
    • Aww... but isn't the Wiki supposed to contain all information? I mean, that's what it's for; a database of all information for everything in KoL, spoiler or not. Who am I kidding, I just wanna know how :P EliteJeff 21:42, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
      • I said "I'm not spilling the beans quite yet." I'll give it a little time first, mostly because I've been given a good incentive to do so. --Poochy 21:51, 11 July 2007 (CDT)
      • The Wiki doesn't spoil the Strange Leaflet codes either - we might end up doing the same for this depending on any requests/demands from Jick and company. --Quietust (t|c) 22:08, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

Okay, since I keep getting requests for hints, I've posted one on the forums here. I'm also feeling evil today, and enjoying every minute of it. --Poochy 22:19, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

  • I would say something along the line of "freedom of information at all costs", But I'm only level 4 right now. It wouldn't do me any good at the moment anyway. I'll solve it sooner or more likely later.--Zelandoni 22:29, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

Can you show me how you solved the puzzle? User:Unnatural20 spoiled it before, so I already have the pile of smoking rags and used it to get the familiar (if you don't believe me look at my terranium), so can you tell me how the glyph was solved? (kmail me or email me at --CG1:t,c,e 20:22, 12 July 2007 (CDT)

  • I've kmailed you in-game with the explanation of how I decoded the cypher. If anybody else wants the explanation, ask here and post your in-game ID. Note that I will only reply with the explanation if you already have the familiar in your terrarium or the rags in your Display Case. --Poochy 21:17, 12 July 2007 (CDT)
