The Hall is a former location within The Big Mountains. It was replaced by The Dungeoneers' Association on October 25, 2010.
Three of these are visible upon entering:
You do not have a key to the Gate of Boris/Jarlsberg/Sneaky Pete.
If you possess Boris's key, you will see:
Behind the Gate of Boris, you find a statue of Boris, mightiest of the Warriors of Loathing in the Times of Old. In the base of the statue, there is a slot. A sign above the slot reads "INSERT MEAT TO CONTINUE."
You gain N Muscleboundness. |
If you possess Jarlsberg's key, you will see:
Behind the Gate of Jarlsberg, there sits a statue of Jarlsberg, most Mysterious of the Chef-Magi of the Times of Old. The statue holds a giant frying pan. Carved into the bottom of the pan are the words "PLACE MEAT HERE."
You gain N Enchantedness. |
If you possess Sneaky Pete's key, you will see:
Behind the Gate of Sneaky Pete stands a statue of Sneaky Pete, the most Moxious of the Thieves of the Times of Old. The statue holds a giant basket, with the words "IT PUTS THE MEAT IN THE BASKET" carved into the side of it.
You gain N Smarm. |
Notes
- You are limited to a total of 10,000 Meat donated per level per day, to all statues combined.
- A statue gives floor(Meat/200) number of die rolls, each of which gives 1-2 of the appropriate substat, with equal likelihood.
- Prior to April 8, 2006, this distribution was linear; if you put in 100,000 Meat you were equally likely to get 500 substats or 1,000 substats (or any number in between). Donating multiple times in smaller chunks (e.g., 10 donations of 10,000) would smooth out the distribution of stat points.
- To elaborate on the old linear distribution: Donating two separate chunks of 200 Meat would give 2 substats a fourth of the time, 3 substats a half of the time, and four substats the other fourth. Donating one chunk of 400 Meat would have a 33% chance for 2, 3, or 4 substats. Those who reasoned that their chances were better in situation A, which has less of a chance to get the lower end of possible values, donated that way.
- On April 8, 2006, the following Trivial Update was posted: The Hall of Legends has been changed to use a better random distribution method. (So stop donating the minimum amount over and over.)
- On December 18, 2006, the following Trivial Update was posted: The way the stat day calculation works has been changed slightly. It no longer always rounds up. There is no longer any advantage to using 200 Meat at a time in the Hall of Legends, so please stop doing that.

- Stat gains are affected by Stat Days, so donating to your main stat's deity on that stat day gives maximum stat gain.
- There is no requirement to see this place; you can see it as soon as you start the game.
- Donating 1,000,000 Meat to each of the statues makes one eligible for The Three Amigos trophy.
- Jick has repeatedly said he will not add any indication of how much one has donated to each statue.
