The Dinner Party
You're exploring some of the lesser-known trails at Large Donkey Mountain when you encounter a group of very bedraggled and frost-bitten travelers. They seem to have been out in the cold for quite some time, and are all wearing curiously stained clothing.
"Hey, are you guys all right?" You ask. A large man wearing an apron stands up and addresses you.
"We have been lost on this mountain for six months," he says. "We were forced to eat the members of the party that perished from cold, or illness, or manslaughter. It's been horrible, but we survived."
"Well, hey, I can help you get back to the ski lodge. It's just over tha --"
"YES, we are hopelessly lost and have no idea how to get back to civilization!" the apron-wearing man interrupts. He's not talking to you, but to his companions. "We are forced to eat those who have perished in our company. It's horrible, but we are surviving. How fortunate that we found the body of this traveler to sustain us." He glares at you menacingly. "That's okay..." you say, backing away slowly. "I was just leaving... Hey! What's that over there!?"
When he turns to look, you dash off. That was pretty clever of you, tricking him like that.
