Been using this exclusively in Town Square. Level 21 Pastamancer, only items equipped are the Vestments (individual items contribute +100% spell damage, +20% myst, +60 damage to stench spells). No skills used to boost spell damage.

Didn't notice any effect to the spell from advancing the Heap or when Oscus was defeated (thought these might have an effect, since the skill can only be used in Hobopolis and the whole dungeon is intertwined).

My damages (51 samples), with buffed Myst in bold:

VS Hodgman, the Hoboverlord. Level 24 PM, 2649 buffed myst, +100 spell damage, 250% spell damage.

You place your hand on the ground, and it begins to shake as piles and piles of garbage emerge from deep beneath you. Your opponent falls into a trash-filled crevasse, sustaining 11323 damage.

Next round was 5,000 some damage, next round 2,000 some at which point the damage hovered around 2k.

  • I had a similar experience and can confirm that the skill is unaffected by +spell damage. For the first experiment, I wore nothing but Oscus' outfit. The damage dealt to Hodgman was about 11000, then about 4800, then about 2000. For the next experiment I added +275% spell damage from chefstaff, naval ring, and Ankh of B. The damage was about 8000 the first round, over 6000 the next round, and close to 5000 the round after that. For the third experiment I used +275% again and did 11000, 6000, and 4000 during the first 3 rounds. So the damage seems to be highly variable, but not obviously affected by +spell damage. --Zeviz 00:09, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
    • I've made 14 attempts to kill Hodgman using this skill and can definitely say that +damage has no effect. Half the time I used +200% chefstaff and +100% from navel ring, the other half I used items that don't boost spell damage and moxie. There was a lot of variance for individual attacks, but in all cases I did about 17000 - 19000 total damage after first 2 rounds and 21000 - 23000 total damage after 4 rounds (at which point I was always killed by Oscus' aura). As a side note, it appears to be impossible for a level 30 PM to kill Hodgman using this skill with Oscus, Scratch, and Chester still around. (I wonder if they intentionally balanced it this way.) --Zeviz 15:27, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

I strongly think this skill and all the other Hobopolis Outfit skills is based on the percentage of hp left on a monster with a minimum and maximum damage cap. Best way to test this is on very high level monsters with a known or reasonably well known hp level.--Averno 05:35, 22 July 2008 (CDT)

I think that this is likely the same damage as Start Trash Fire.--Oddity 13:25, 4 August 2008 (CDT)

As with Zombo's Visage, I tested this out a little more briefly. 796, 798, 798, 802, 808, 806, 1212, 792 damage normally; after 172 damage from combat items, I did 456 damage, which matches perfectly with the other 100MP skills. Some of the above spading confirms this as well.--Foggy 17:35, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
