Talk:Tiny costume wardrobe

Has there been any indication that it affects 100%-familiar runs [for example, unlocking Bad Moon?] or did I perhaps screw up along the way? --Miststlkr 02:48, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

It does not affect the percentage ranking of 100% familiar runs, nor does it stop you from getting the stab bat trophy. It can't help with unlocking bad moon since it is not equippable (or pull-able) in hardcore. --Fig bucket 09:06, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Transform messages?--Brion thenotgiant 06:47, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

%name% disappears into the wardrobe, and emerges dressed as a Teddy Borg
%name% doffs the costume and turns back into a Llama Lama again.--Scutterman 12:01, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Any word on whether or not a changed familiar will retain its original skills and abilities? For instance, will a gravy fairy still give an item boost? -- Nosul Ragal 09:42, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

I got
%name% disappears into the wardrobe, and emerges dressed as a Crimbo Elf.
%name% leaps up and smacks him in the knee for 19 damage.
Since it was a llama, it looks like it takes on new abilities. I got a gong, but only when my llama turned into a llama, so it looks like original abilities are not retained. today.--Scutterman 12:07, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

There appears to be a bug when the new familiar type can use an effect before the fight, because mine just de-levelled my opponent, then turned into an O.A.F. I sent a bug report--Scutterman 12:37, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Same happened to me with my jitterbug turning into a PRESSIE --Dibbin 20:24, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

This thing actually makes it possible to level up OAF without all the negativeness! --Hrag 19:45, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

It also makes a 100% stab bat run (and trophy) easier (not that I have a non-wardrobe run to compare against). --Fig bucket 13:59, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

It works on an underwater familiar to let it dress as air-breathers without the boot. This pleases me. When he was a Penguin, he dropped a contract, likewise with sheet music as a Crimbo Troll... but no drops as a llama or badger (yet).

Mine turns into a hobo spirit, but doesn't give a message for changing, and it hasn't yet been a hatrack, GGG or hand in 200 advs. Maybe it can't become *everything*.--Denarius 19:49, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Further testing on 3 seperate accounts gives a list of 6 missing familiars - Comma Cham and Doppelshifter (same as the doppel itself), plus Blackbird, Megadrone, Hatrack and Hand. I'd guess the latter two are functionally useless anyway and likely rerolled. Blackbird maybe because of the quest (although it wouldn't conflict - can't use the map in combat). Not sure why the megadrone wouldn't appear, I guess it'd be useless without cards but so are pet rocks. Also confirmed the familiar doesn't retain it's non-costumed abilities, and that badger costume drops mushrooms.--Denarius 11:10, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Maybe this will be aviable April 1 in the KoL year?--Brion thenotgiant 21:34, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Has anybody have it turn the familiar into a baby sandworm since the introduction of the latter? I havn't. --Don Enrico 06:54, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I got it just now. So, confirmed that it's possible as off the posting-time I suppose. --Aerion111 19:15, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

My Mosquito transformed into a Mosquito and the costume removal message wasn't displayed at the end of the combat. And when it became a slimeling, instead of the usual message at the start of combat it only gave "Tot is looking a little thin." Dropped robot reindeer protocol P.R.A.N.C.E.R. after changing back.--SenorEverClever 08:24, 6 May 2012 (CEST)

April Fools Familiars

I heard the April Fools Familiars live on inside the Wardrobe. True? --Johnny Treehugger 16:39, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

I can at least partially verify this. Today alone, I got the Plastic Grocery Bag, Snowhitman, Floating Eye, and Egg Benedict--Avandor 06:18, 17 April 2010 (UTC) Further edit... could be something is up... I got the rest of the April Fools familiars, except for the worm one, but looking back, I see that I got nothing but the April Fools familiars today.--Avandor 06:22, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Same here. It is Bill 1 on the KOL calendar, don't know if that is significant. --Monod 07:03, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
