I encountered this in the Conservatory. I don't have the skill to edit the article, but When I fought it, I got a tofurkey leg and a tofurkey gravy. Both list as food, but I haven't consumed either. I just realized I might be dumb. This being the Feast of St. boris, the Tofurkey might be a special occasion encounter (duh). Anyhow, the aforementioned item drops might be worth something if this is accurate, so good luck running into him/it/whatever.

Apparently, my little mistake earned me a bit of scorn from a couple of people who spend far more time than I on KoL. My apologies, I guess I'm too busy raising a family and holding a job to remember every little detail of an online game. Being a new area, I thought I had stumbled across something new, and made the mistake of not thinking about the significance of the date. Easy problem to fix: seeing as the first time, on the first day, my first entry got me dressed down for making a mistake, I just won't bother pointing out anything I stumble across in the future. My apologies for trying to be helpful.

* If anyone deserves castigation over this, it's not you.  It was an honest mistake - and a ''common'' one today, as it turns out.  You simply caught the built-up frustration of a single inconsiderate person.  Please, don't let that drive you away from making ''any'' contribution here! --[[User:Bork|Bork]] 21:18, 27 September 2006 (CDT)

I got a Spookyraven gallery key here after reading everything in the Library. W00t! --Telor All you need to read is the second chapter of the first book, which particularly pertains to the conservatory.

Here is the adventure text for the gallery key adventure:

Polo Tombstone

As you're wandering around in the pet cemetery of the Haunted Conservatory, you catch a glimpse of a tombstone with a tiny alligator engraved on it. "What a stylish tombstone!" you think to yourself, but then you think back to the passage from the Spookyraven Family History that you read in the Library, and an idea occurs to you.

You plunge your hand into the peat (or perhaps it's silt -- you never did learn the difference,) fish around for a while, and pull out exactly what you were looking for:

You acquire an item: Spookyraven gallery key

I managed to get Polo Tombstone after reading Rise Ch.3, Fall Ch.3, and Fall Ch.2 - I suspect that thre 'triggering' chapter is Fall of Spookyraven Ch. 2 (Stephen and Elizabeth) because it talks about the Pet Cemetary.

That is, provided there IS a link between Readin The Books and getting the key.

Oh, and the adventure name *could* be a reference to the Lacoste clothing brand's crocodile logo, being deliberately contrasted with Ralph Lauren 'Polo' brand. --MultiClassGeek 09:25, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

Adventures found here so far:

confused goth music student

anglerbush

skeletal hamster

man-eating plant

skeletal cat

skeletal monkey

--Coyerre 08:09, 20 September 2006 (GMT)

There is also:

Sweeping up the Skeleton Bones

As you near the pet cemetery inside the Haunted Conservatory, you see signs of a struggle near one of the old tombstones. Looks like some skeletal animals got into fight over here. Or some regular animals got into a really, really serious fight, a long time ago.

Either way, you help yourself to the remains.

Your ten-leaf clover disappears in a puff of smoke.

a 10 leaf adventure that yeilds 2 piles.

--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 02:25, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

Hmmm, the clover-related adventure seems to have been changed. The text remains unchanged, but instead of two piles, only one pile is received ... bummer!

New adventure: Malevolent Tofurkey

I encountered this in the Conservatory. I don't have the skill to edit the article, but When I fought it, I got a tofurkey leg and a tofurkey gravy. Both list as food, but I haven't consumed either. I gained 1 beefiness, 6 wizardliness, and 3 chutzpah. I saved the images of the critter and both items on my computer, so if someone want to edit the article, email me at nolanomad@gmail.com and I'll happily send you the pics. Malevolent Tofurkey, addendum

I just realized I might be dumb. This being the Feast of St. boris, the Tofurkey might be a special occasion encounter (duh). Anyhow, the aforementioned item drops might be worth something if this is accurate, so good luck running into him/it/whatever. Nolanomad 18:58, 27 September 2006 (CDT)

Oops on the Feast of St. Boris

Apparently, my little mistake earned me a bit of scorn from a couple of people who spend far more time than I on KoL. My apologies, I guess I'm too busy raising a family and holding a job to remember every little detail of an online game.
