Talk:Migratory pirate
The Big Book of Pirate Insults has no effect on him (i.e. he behaves like any other non-pirate monster). --Itsatrap 06:11, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to set up a reference section, but I do know this pirate is a reference to the Odyssey - Odysseus is cursed to wander inland with an oar until someone asks him about it. Jzkqm 10:50, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually, he isn't "cursed" to wander inland. The only reason to do this is to get back in favor with the sun god and Neptune (forget the greek name). He is to walk inland until he encounters a village where they ask what the oar is, then he is to plant it in the ground and dedicate it to Neptune (IIRC), then he is to go back and sacrifice 500 cattle to each god, then he will die in favor with the gods. Neptune hates him because he blinded his son, Cyclopes, and the sun god, Helios, because his men slaughtered his cattle for food when they were starving. --Scouto2 00:47, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Some other miss messages are:
He tries to bash ye upside the head with his oar, but ye be quicker than he be, jeebees.
Could someone add this to the page, please?--Hoboapple 13:40, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
