Talk:House
Since it falls under the Quest Items in Miscellaneous section before being used, I wonder if it gets lost when you ascend if it isn't used?--Animus 03:24, 17 March 2006 (CST)
- I'm pretty sure it's treated the same way as any other quest item (thus gets lost). --NewZorkBat 03:36, 17 March 2006 (CST)
BM Values Different?
I seem to be regenerating +55 HP and MP in BM after rollover with a house, not the base ~40. My campground has a meat maid, the cook/tend boxes, and the arches. Is anyone else observing increased post-rollover values? --Bagatelle 16:12, 12 December 2007 (CST)
- OK, tried this again yesterday, with the moons at

Rollover Data
With the above showing no moon variation, I feel comfortable enough to drop the graphics, which are a pain to code. Another run's worth of data:
Day | Campground Gear |
Expected Rollover HP |
Expected Rollover MP |
Total Rollover HP |
Total Rollover MP |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
2008-01-20 | barskin tent, evil golden arches | 18-20 | 20 | 17 (hit ceiling) | 20 (hit ceiling) |
2008-01-21 & 22 | barskin tent, evil golden arches | 18-20 | 20 | 20 | 20 |
2008-01-23 through 29 (except for 25--forgot to keep track) |
house, evil golden arches | 38-40 | 40 | 40 | 40 |
Interestingly, not ever observing any "8"s in the previous two runs. Also interestingly, not ever observing the extra +3 MP from my post on "14:27, 2 January 2008". --Bagatelle 22:10, 30 January 2008 (CST)

I'm going to assume my +3 MP post from "14:27, 2 January 2008" is erroneous record-keeping. Then, it looks like it's the tender doing +15 HP/MP, and the chef does zilch. Oddly enough, through all those data points, I've never observed a less-than-max resting value, even though the relevant articles all say the rollover HP amount should be equal to the base (random, with range of 2) housing resting amount. --Bagatelle 16:25, 21 March 2008 (CDT)
New message?
I could swear I never got this message before. [1] (Picture)
Is this a hardcore-only thing or what?
The following picture.

- No, Jick and Co. just made changes to how the housing system works. Possibly a portent that there will be housing that doesn't fit the current hierarchical progression, like a house that gives 70 HP and 20 MP. Or not. Maybe Jick just wanted to give us a way of burning some stuff to the ground. --Flargen 13:18, 2 February 2008 (CST)
