You could try and sell it, keep it as a trophy of your cunning, or give it away to someone who doesn't have one (generally a newer player than you - anyone who is under level 9 on their first ascension cannot have gained their own grue yet)

Yes, you can put those spare grue eggs in your display case as ascension counters, or leave them to rot in your inventory / colossal closet, or *not* get them from the strange leaflet in the future.
