Theres a congrats message after this is finished that isn't on the wiki anywhere. So far I got "AREAGREATS". So probably something like "You are a great spade". Discordance (talk) 00:20, 9 July 2023 (UTC)

Do you get it when drawing spades after receiving the talking spade? --wRAR (talk) 12:22, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
Yes. So far I've gotten AREAGREATSPADE. Discordance (talk) 14:58, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Alternate Playfair Encoding

It appears there is an issue with how some the encoded scraps of paper are produced. It does not affect all accounts. t's not a blocker but does add a little bit more work, and extra days, to solve the issue. Using the account "de bot" as the example, the encoded string should be FSDCEZBSMWTSFPBQDCOVGBSXTSXLKIFIFAFIKBMHDCQMFDTSB zyvyvyvyvyv BLBSHNBKGPOUDHCOOBUPQBDTEBUOSBZXCTMZTSFPBETMBQDCAPMH.

In all cases I know where the encoding goes wrong, most of the first ended string drops correct clues. However the number of incorrectly encoded data will have enough overlaps that you can make longer strings.

In this case GCGDPTNYNSGDUTNZ decodes to "EBESURETODESTROY", which, also works with "COOBUPQBD TEBUOSB" (in the original encoded string). Having identified a valid string using an alternate encoded string, it's then a matter of patience. The full example, after joining overlaps are:

Original Encoded String Alternate Encoding Clear Text

Having got macera and vions as part of the work, padding the lenght changes the V to possible other values of I and T. In this case the target word was macerations.
