Pop and Lock It

Pop and Lock It

Type: Combat
MP Cost: 2

This is basically the same as the classic "Doin' the Robot" move, but modernized and made a little more interesting. I guess the more things change, the more they stay people pretending to be slow-moving robots.

Source: Using Gothy Handwave against a pop-and-lock raver (occasionally)
Price: N/A
Class: Disco Bandit
Level: N/A
Effect: Deals damage, can be part of Rave Combos
When Used:
If the previous round completed a Rave Combo, or was not a Rave Attack:
Your movements acquire the jerky, staccato motion of a Lego-based YouTube video. Your opponent is momentarily confused, and flinches when you throw a punch that stops just short of connecting with their face. When they hesitantly open their eyes a moment later, you finish the movement, landing a blow worth 5-10 damage.

As the second move of a Rave Combo:

You follow up your previous attack with a series of jerky, rhythmic movements, surprising your opponent with an off-rhythm karate-chop to the neck for 10-15 damage.

Completing a Rave Combo:

You complete your rave combo with a series of disjointed robotic movements, which confuse your opponent into dropping their guard. With a shout of "Not responsible!" and several quick jabs totaling 15-20 damage, you give them cause to regret their mistake.

Notes

You begin to use one of your new rave attacks, and that reminds you that, oh yeah, there was that whole Nemesis thing you were meant to be dealing with, instead of screwing around elsewhere. You decide that you'd prefer not to be reminded of that, and hence decide not to use that attack.
