This is an LP in a crumbling cardboard sleeve so old and worn that you can't make out any details it may have once exhibited.

Okay, so "LP" stands for "Long Play." It's a music containment unit. It's a round vinyl disc, usually black, that stores about an hour of music. No, you can't change what music's on there. No, you can't add more memory to it. Yes, you can use it for a frisbee.

When Used

You look inside the cardboard sleeve, but there's no record in there. The only thing inside is a nasty note that says:

"You'll never find me, or the Legendary Beat! Go suck an egg, loser!
   -- Love, Professor Jacking."

How rude! As you drop the note to the floor in disgust, though, you see that he wrote the note on the back of a detailed map to his secret lair. How careless!

Map.gifYou acquire an item: map to Professor Jacking's laboratory

After remembering what happened last time, you decide to leave the LP alone, in order to preserve its value as a collectible.
