An Abominable Encounter
This time, you decide to ski the uppermost slopes of Large Donkey Mountain. After riding the ski lift for an hour and a half, you finally arrive at the very tippity-top of the mountain and prepare for a terrifying descent. But before you can take the plunge, a furry shape leaps out of the bushes at you! "Wooo-GA! BOOGABOOGA! BOOOO!" It shouts. After the initial shock, you see that it's not a hideous hulking monster like you first thought. It's only three feet tall, and kind of cute. "Did I scare you?" It growls.
"Nope, can't say that you did. What are you?"
"I'm supposed to be the Terrifying Snow Creature that haunts your nightmares, but I'm really, really lousy at it." The creature sniffles.
You take pity on the creature and decide to help it be less abominable. For the next hour you teach it all the frightening tricks you've learned from monsters in the Kingdom.
He turns out to be a pretty quick learner, but even so he's not half as scary as the XXX-Double-Plus-Ungood-Slope you have to ski to get back to the lodge. You feel pretty badass making it down with more than one of your bones unbroken.

The Snow Creature thanks you and gives you some of its food and treasure hoard before leaving you to ski to certain death down the XXX-Double-Plus-Ungood-Slope.

- "XXX-Double-Plus-Ungood-Slope" is a usage of the "Newspeak" from the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell. It literally means "XXX-Very-Very-Bad-Slope", and since doubleplus denotes a superlative, the translation is most accurately 'XXX-Worst-Slope'.
- In the movie Monsters, Inc., the Abominable Snowman was banished from the monster realm because he was a lousy scarer. He also gave out snowcones to the heroes.
