There are some vague or non-exact figures and information on this page. Some spading is required.
Does the "buzzing sound" option always show up? And can something affect the number and/or severity of stings?

You Found Your Thrill
What was once a tidy hedgerow next to a cobbler's house is now a riot of blackberry bushes. Literally -- like, some of those bushes seem really really angry!
Fortunately, what was once a cobbler's house is still a cobbler's house, so if you're in the mood for something quieter than a riot, you're still covered.

Head toward the buzzing sound
|
|
You head toward the buzzing and end up in a swarm of angry bees. Which... is not actually totally unexpected, right? Like, what else buzzes in a forest.
A bee stings you between the legs and the hair.
Three bees sting you in the toes, the nose and the back at the same time. Ow ow ow!
Three bees sting you in the finger, the knee and the face at the same time. Ow ow ow!
A bee stings you right in the tongue. Ow!
- Leads to Bee Persistent.
Occurs at The Black Forest via All Over the Map.
Notes
- The option Head toward the buzzing sound is only available until you acquire the beehive.
- Unlike most options within non-combat adventures, choosing to Head toward the buzzing sound consumes a turn (as does the next noncombat, making obtaining the beehive a 2-turn cost over and above the turn cost of You Found Your Thrill itself).
- Heading toward the beehive also advances the noncombat counter, so getting the beehive means seeing another noncombat two turns later instead of four.
