Deletion Request

  • um, if you'd like a page deleted, add a request to TheKolWiki:Pages for deletion. more likely to be seen. --Evilkolbot 20:58, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I know, I would have but life called as I was editing it. I figured if an admin saw and deleted it, great, otherwise I'd list it when I got back. As I'm about to do. --timrem 23:05, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Regarding sand dollar

Where was this decided? Not being sarcastic. I knew it looked awkward when I added it in, but 2-4 is just plain wrong when the range is 0, 2, 3, or 4. --Raijinili 19:56, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

To be sarcastic, I don't know of any other item pages that put two possibilities like (0, 2-4), and don't see why this case should be an exception.

There aren't a lot of "sometimes gives" items that give multiples and doesn't include 1 in its range. --Raijinili 22:41, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Consumables sub-pages

I appreciate that you would like to help, but I auto-generate tables for those programmatically, and just got around to them. You are reverting some of my changes, and are introducing incorrect information. I'm actually about to swamp over both of our changes to those pages anyway, since some information that a bugfix happened has come to my attention. --RoyalTonberry 02:45, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Template talk:Snapshot

Sorry about the confusion over my edit. Check out TheKolWiki:Pages for deletion for an explanation. I proposed the deletion of an old template talk, and someone responded by saying that it would be nice to keep it, in case anyone wanted to see why it was deleted. So, I decided that the best thing to do would be to archive the talk in the discussion, where it would be more visible, and delete the talk page.

I removed the timestamp because it was extraneous and not necessary; it would just draw attention away from Snickles' message. Also, I removed one of my old comments because the wiki admins have since resolved the problem and deleted the backlog of pages that were proposed. If you do not agree with any of this, just let me know. Also also, perhaps you could help in the creation of the new weapons and skills tables that I proposed here? --Oneforfortytwo 18:42, 4 April 2012 (CEST)

Hypnotist Location

Good point about the Hypnotists location. I have updated it with what I can confirm, and noted what I cannot confirm. --Diabolico 22:54, 18 April 2012 (CEST)

Clan Pool

Feel free to work on the pool in my user space -- I'm watching the changes with interest! Seems to work well with the water overlay... I've not seen someone with a inflatable duck do a handstand yet, but I'm guessing we need to tweak to hide the heads. I'm a bit of a CSS amateur so anticipating a lot better ways of doing things... and that's ignoring my spaghetti "logic" templates--Doucy 02:19, 7 May 2012 (CEST)

Most of what I've done was just ripped from the page source in-game. This would really work better if background-image worked properly here, but it seems like mediawiki doesn't accept it. Unless we add class definitions to MediaWiki:Common.css, but that seems a bit much for use on one page since each avatar we're using would need a separate class definition. --timrem 08:53, 7 May 2012 (CEST)

Thank You

Thanks for the notification regarding page size. Didn't know before, and been out of it for a while. Will reduce now using the suggestions you made. --Strwrsfrk 18:58, 29 May 2012 (CEST)

Hi, this is oneforfortytwo, the kol wiki admin. Sorry for the offensive username; this is my friend's account, which I borrowed to have access to the game again.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could delete your main page redesign, located here:

The changes that you proposed were already implemented, so I don't see the point of having that test linger on the wiki any longer. --"oneforfortytwo" via #1945120

Please do not delete User:Timrem/test. While it is currently my main-page redesign, I use the page for testing other large changes as well. Also, remember that "deleting" a page does not actually delete the data, but rather just makes it accessible only to admins. If your worry was about wasted disk space, deleting the page would in fact increase the amount of space used, because of the generation of the deletion log. Thanks you. --timrem 21:20, 11 July 2012 (CEST)
  • That's just weird on so many levels. Why wouldn't Oneforfortytwo simply ask on your user talk page, like he did here? Even if he had been banned in the game (which is strange), he could have created a new account without needing to borrow an account from his friend with the offensive username. LoL. --Bale 23:24, 11 July 2012 (CEST)
    • Yeah, I'm not really sure what the deal is. I moved the conversation to the wiki where it belongs, let oneforfortytwo know on his talk page, and tried to be clear here that the identify of the author of the message is unverified. But then... why impersonate an admin just to get my approval for a page deletion? Nothing would actually happen unless it was oneforfortytwo getting my approval. I guess we'll have to wait for Oneforfortytwo to clarify things. --timrem 11:13, 12 July 2012 (CEST)
      • FYI, I've had a few interactions with his old and new accounts. From previous conversations, he was not banned, he just gave away his account. Creating a new account requires a lot of work to get to a reasonably usable point, so reusing an old one has some advantage. I have no reason to doubt that the new account name is indeed him, as confirmed by emails...also, the name is rather funny, in a tasteless sort of way. --Fig bucket 01:32, 13 July 2012 (CEST)

Thank you for this
