It's probably not an established standard, but there are a few shining examples of light humor in text. For example, on the zombie pineal gland page, somebody put up "Some (hippies) think it has mystical powers" or something to that effect. I think that this is very much like something Jick would write. Currently, there are more little witticism on the average wikipedia page than on a wiki-kol page. Everyone should try a little to talk like Jick, and the best stuff won't be reverted. Also, sometimes it's good to throw an addendum onto a probably bogus reference instead of taking it down, because maybe the person who put it up isn't explaining it right--but leaving it unexplained is unacceptable. On wikipedia talk page stuff stays on the talk page, but I don't see how a little sarcasm on these pages really does any harm. Lotusduck 19:55, 30 March 2006 (CST)
I do see what you mean, but there's a slight trend towards a little commentary in an otherwise straightforward writing style here. Also, often a reference isn't bogus enough to be taken down, but is too potentially bogus to be left without note. I think my compromise is efficient. Lotusduck 16:35, 31 March 2006 (CST)
