STOP. If you are about to ask how I know the formerly impossible plurals of items, please look here.

trophy 81
How did you get trophy 81? --Lemon-claw 21:52, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- I dunno.--GoldS 21:54, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Then why did you create a page for the trophy if you don't have it? Makes no sense. --Lemon-claw 21:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- I know someone who has it and got the trophy ID, name, and image. That's enough to start a page for it.--GoldS 21:58, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Who is that someone that has it? --Lemon-claw 22:07, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Plural
How did you determine the plural form of Baron von Ratsworth's monocle? The only ways to generate the plural form of an item require it to be tradeable or made by combining multiple items. --Quietust 18:24, 4 July 2006 (CDT)
By smashing them using the pulverize skill. The plural is listed upon smashing.--GoldS 04:09, 18 July 2006 (CDT)
Effects
How did you find all those effects without knowing where it was obtained from, etc. Also, how do you find out the effect #? --CG1:t,c,e 16:47, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
URL manipulation. Just open up the effect in your browser and change the number.--GoldS 16:48, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
Change what number in the URL? In "http://www.kingdomofloathing.com/desc_effect.php?whicheffect=f7551a889b9c61510fc3f73f96ecc98e" what number are we supposed to change? --CG1:t,c,e 09:35, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
- The way the effects are looked up has changed. Effects are no longer viewed by effect IDs, but by description IDs. To see how to view the effect ID, please see Effects by number.
By the way, it's now pretty much impossible to use URL manipulation to see new effects.--GoldS 21:58, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
Okay, thanks. I used URL manipulation before (after you answered me the first time), and I just forgot how to do it... so I decided to ask you. again. Thanks for telling me (again) --CG1:t,c,e 22:17, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
StackImage and Pulverize
FYI, I'm vaguely trying to avoid imagifying tables where all the images are the same--that seems like a waste of server load and bandwidth. On the other hand, I was completely not expecting this template to also work for effects (such as the powder and nugget results), so I'm glad you're enjoying it! --Jonrock 21:58, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
- Web browsers are smarter than that - if you include the same image a hundred times in the same page, it'll only load it once. --Quietust (t|c) 22:16, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
- Oh yeah, heh, duh. I blame the habits drilled into me when I was doing embedded systems. --Jonrock 22:25, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
Re: The Ring
- Any item that uses those new jewelry bases (extra-fancy ring setting) requires the new jewelry skill, I believe. --sl1me 04:38, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- Alright, thanks.--GoldS 04:41, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
Pulverizing for Gems
You said you got two from smashing ten pieces, was that two gems from a single smashing of ten items, or ten smashings? (Bleh, such grammar I'm using.) Just trying to figure if there is a maximum number of the gems obtainable per pulverization attempt. --Sparksol 04:54, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
- Two gems from smashing ten items at once.--GoldS 01:49, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
- Okay, thank you. --Sparksol
Hatrack
Kudos on the hatrack spading. i'd be very interested to know how you can be so sure that the tattered crown gives somebrero stats. AFAIK the exact mechanic isn't known and at 15 pounds you'd be getting bugger all additional stats. definitely not saying you're wrong, i'd just be interested to see some workings. --Evilkolbot 14:14, 17 April 2008 (CDT)
- I compared the 15 lb hatrack with a 15 lb sombrero using various monsters at varying ML, and noticed that they both gave the same substat bonus.--GoldS 19:26, 17 April 2008 (CDT)
Recently the Levitating Potato's formulas have been under question. Actually, apparently they've been under question for a long time, and nobody got around to spading the correct mechanics. Since you've listed a number of Hatrack hats as "1.0 Potato" and such, I was wondering if you had any data about what the modern-day potato's blocking formula is? Otherwise, how did you conclude the proper potato proportions for the hats? I'm currently in the process of spading out the potato once again, but if you already have a lot of data about this I'd love to see it make its way onto the wiki. Or at least some accessible place on the web. --Flargen 10:25, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have any new idea on the potato, I just assumed the 1.5 per pound blocking rate.--GoldS 10:20, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, thankfully, it looks like that formula is correct, at least from 5-50 pounds. Probably not so at higher weights, but you probably weren't spading beyond 50 pounds. And the formula is probably valid at the lower weights, I've just a bit too little data to be particularly certain of that. --Flargen 11:55, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
mutants
Wait, since when wasn't the damage affected by the moons? I thought it was just the attack rate that was unmodified, but that the actual damage the familiar would do changed. Your forum posts claims the damage isn't modified by weight, but your actual data on the AFH forums pretty clearly shows that it does. And it's part of Eleron's stated formulas. --Flargen 08:15, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, wait, I think I see what you mean. Only the gila monster, for whatever whacky reason, has his attack damage vary with the moons. Now that I looked at the non-gila data I see the non-variance. Never mind then. --Flargen 08:18, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
on spoilering new content
I know on the unrecognized plural talk page you said (paraphrase), "don't ask, I won't spoil new content", but sometimes it seems you find images and upload those long before stuff comes out. How do you reconcile that? (I ask because I have an item image I've found.) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 00:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Where did you find File:Skulldozer.gif? — Cool12309 (talk) 07:05, 7 October 2012 (CEST)
- I fought it. It pops up from the bone garden if you wait 6+ days. --GoldS 07:41, 7 October 2012 (CEST)
Item id
How did you find item ID of the gladiator mask? — Cool12309 (talk) 01:43, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- From a bug that was patched like 4 years ago. --GoldS (talk) 02:18, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- That reminds me, is item 3429 a reference to you? (My item finding trick found that, but then there was this bug patched like 4 years ago...) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:52, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
- Nope, that thing you're talking about isn't related to me. --GoldS (talk) 23:00, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
