Signatures

If you want a custom signature, just place it in your user profile. The only reason anybody should use a 2-level template-style signature (as I currently am) is if they are using an overly complicated signature (with lots of colors and images, for example) and they don't intend to ever change it once they've decided on it. For this reason, non-Administrators are discouraged from making such "dynamic" signatures - editing the signatures causes significant additional load on the wiki (which is manageable when only a few users are using them), and they are open to vandalism (which can be prevented for Admin signatures by edit-protecting them). --Quietust (t|c) 13:04, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
