Item Data

When creating item data pages, please use the "Create metadata" link on the item page itself in order to prepopulate the page with the appropriate template. In addition, don't specify "unknown" for item plurals which are not known, since they won't be categorized at Unrecognized Plurals - instead, simply put a question mark (again, as the page template automatically does for you). --Quietust (t|c) 10:38, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Sorry, I didn't know about that. I was using the "view metadata" link on the item's page, so it always came up blank. Do I need to go back through the items I changed to fix them? --Anmbia 10:47, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

• I've already gone back and fixed all of the pages I could find. I'm also curious why you saw a "view metadata" link on an item page without a data page, since there's specific logic in the item template to present a "create metadata" link which prepopulates the page with the contents of {{item/meta}}. --Quietust (t|c) 10:59, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
