About Clackling
Clackling started playing back in 2004, for about a week or so, at which point he promptly forgot about the game and his account was deleted for inactivity.
A year later, he rediscovered the game, and this time got addicted. All the humor never got old, all the people never got boring (well, not all), and so on. He immediately joined KoL Addicts, figuring that any clan with millions of members couldn't be bad. And although he made plenty of friends within the clan, he longed for something a bit more...intimate.
Eventually, Clackling left KOLA during its big crash and burn sometime in 2006, and found joy in Noblesse Oblige's School for the Young and Gifted. He had much fun there what with the sex and all, even after N.O. rudely abandoned the clan and left it to fend for itself.
After seeing a call for Coldfront writers, Clackling applied for the volunteer position, and there he met up with Dotts and Mai, two members of Aflubadubdub! who then went on to suck him into Aflub, where he has been locked up ever since. That is, until Aflub sorta merged into Strangers from a Strange Clan. Cause that's where is.
In December of 2006, Clackling took over the job of KoL Coldfront Site Manager, and has attempted to run things as smoothly as possible over in that barnyard.
In May of 2008, Clackling stepped down from the position, in order to pursue bigger things, like the Presidency.
And that's Clack in a nutshell.
Current Goals
Clackling currently enjoys ascending at a leisurely pace. His ascension patterns tend towards a bunch of softcore runs, and when he gets bored of those, a few HC runs to slow the pace down a bit. Mostly the focus is on having a good time, not reaching any leaderboards (yet). Right now his long-term plans are to acquire the rest of the plexiglass and stainless steel items (a lofty goal for someone as bad at the game as Clackling), and now, to play through Bad Moon runs. Bad Moon can't be too terrible, right? I mean, everyone starts and ends on the same foot, so it's easy to find an optimal strategy and compete against the best, right?
Clackling wants to teach others about the right and wrong ways of speaking. He is all too willing to correct anyone who speaks improperly, and cannot stand bad grammar. He hates anyone who can't pass the Ghost of the English Language's test without help. But he still is willing to teach them.
