The Quest for the Legendary Beat

Description

The Quest for the Legendary Beat is a quest announced on April 5, 2010. It was released in conjunction with MC Frontalot's release of his fourth album, Zero Day. A contest was simultaneously announced wherein the first ten adventurers to discover The Legendary Beat received a free copy of the album. This was the first out-of-game prize for an in-game accomplishment in the history of the Kingdom.

The quest is accessible by way of the map to Professor Jacking's laboratory an untradeable quest item which can be acquired from the antique record album. The record album was available for a limited time from Uncle P's Antiques.

Tasks

1. Collect a tiny frozen prehistoric meteorite jawbreaker, a dance upon the palate, can of depilatory cream, hair of the calf, and Crazyleg's razor. These can be done in any order. Do not eat the foods or drink the drinks yet.
   • Acquire the tiny frozen prehistoric meteorite jawbreaker by following these steps:
     1. Insert a blackberry, cherry, cocktail onion, jumbo olive, kumquat, olive, plum, raspberry, sea blueberry, sea lychee, or strawberry into the fruit machine.
     2. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Huge-A-Ma-Tron until you get the adventure Made it, Ma! Top of the World! and choose 'Dance on it' which gives you the effect Hurricane Force for 10 adventures, which you need to get the tiny frozen prehistoric meteorite jawbreaker.
     3. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Huge-A-Ma-Tron until you get loose coalition of yetis, snowmen, and goats which will yield a tiny frozen prehistoric meteorite jawbreaker if you inserted the right fruit and have Hurricane Force.
   • Adventure in Professor Jacking's Huge-A-Ma-Tron until you get Made it, Ma! Top of the World! and choose to 'Crouch down and lick it' which will give you a dance upon the palate
   • Adventure in Professor Jacking's Huge-A-Ma-Tron and defeat the Fearsome Wacken to get Crazyleg's razor.
   • Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get can of depilatory cream from Two Inches Smaller.
   • Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get a hair of the calf from Getting a Leg Up (Small-O-Fier) (Get this by choosing to climb up the hair (Last option)).
2. Prepare the victuals.
   • Cook a dance upon the palate and tiny frozen prehistoric meteorite jawbreaker to get squirmy violent party snack.
   • Cocktailcraft the can of depilatory cream and hair of the calf together to get world's most unappetizing beverage.
3. Drink the world's most unappetizing beverage and eat the squirmy violent party snack. Before the effects wear off, use Crazyleg's razor to gain the Smooth Legs effect. Use it multiple times to extend the effect, as you won't be able to use it once Literally Insane and Broken Dancing wear off.
4. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the adventure Just Like the Ocean Under the Moon, choose to 'Fight a Scabie'. Repeat this until you get the item can-you-dig-it?.
5. Gaze into Jacking's Mirror to acquire the Stubbly Legs effect.
6. Equip the can-you-dig-it?.
7. Adventure again in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the adventure Double Trouble in the Stubble choose to 'Dig your way to safety'. You will then get The Legendary Beat

Optional: Take full advantage of the sidequest. This can all be done independent of doing the main quest, save for the things that require a specific fruit in the fruit machine.

1. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the Leave a Message and I'll Call You Back noncombat. Choose to look for flies. This will net you tiny fly glasses.
2. If you do not already have a raisin, adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the Raisin' Hell noncombat.
3. Put a raisin in the fruit machine.
4. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the Leave a Message and I'll Call You Back noncombat and choose to look for the spider. This will kill the spider.
5. Adventure in Professor Jacking's Small-O-Fier until you get the Leave a Message and I'll Call You Back noncombat and choose to look for flies. If you have Torso Awaregness, this will net you the flyest of shirts. Otherwise skip this step.
6. You can also take advantage of the noncombat to triplicate fruit, including expensive fruit. Put one of the fruit in the fruit machine that you wish to triplicate. The next time you get Leave a Message and I'll Call You Back choose to escape and you will get back the fruit you invested plus two more.
