The Nerve Center
You head up the grav-chute into the control room of the alien craft. The top half of the room is a clear dome, through which you can see a bunch of tilted mountains. The bottom half is a mess of viewscreens and control panels, dominated by one big screen with a big, worried-looking alien guy's face on it.

- Without sufficient alien language skill:
The harried-looking alien on the viewscreen shouts "Glop gloopbeert flipnirt! Bleepnoort blipbort gleepjort!" and then disappears. Huh.
- With at least 3 alien language skill:
Your mastery of the alien language allows you to a) figure out which knob is the volume knob, and b) understand the alien guy when he talks."Hey! Hey, little weird earthling guy!" he says. "You gotta help us, guy!" "Help you? Man, you should be helping us! You crashed your ship right into the middle of our peaceful planet!"
"Wasn't my fault, little guy. Wasn't my fault. We got invaded!"
"Invaded by whom?" you say. It's important to use proper grammar when you're the historic first representative of your species.
"Space beasts. They breed like crazy, and they escaped containment and filled up the whole ship."
"I don't see any space beasts."
"They... umm... left. After the crash."
"Where did they go?" you ask, unable to conceal your panic and annoyance.
"Well, they're probably hiding in an underground burrow, very near the ship, breeding and breeding and breeding."
"What are we gonna do about this?"
"Well, you could use the ship's gun to blow your way into the burrow, and then... go kill them all, I guess."
"That sounds like the kind of thing I would do. How do I activate the gun?"
"The access code is... Ha ha. -snort- 72101. Heh heh. -snort-.
"Why is that funny?"
"Oh. Umm, in your numbering system, it's 69420."
"Hilarious." You type in the code, and a big orange button emerges from the wall to the right of the big blue one.
- Before defeating the space beast matriarch:
"How's it going with those beasts?"
"Oh, you know."
- After defeating the space beast matriarch:
"You did it, buddy."
- Afterwards:
"Hey, remember that time you helped us? That was great."

- After talking to the alien:
You press the button and the whole world shakes. Well, as far as you know -- the only part of the world you can see is the control room of this spaceship and the giant crater you just blew into the ground next to it.
- Else:
You've already done all the damage that gun is going to do.

Notes
- Pressing the blue button without enough language skill exits the ship, or firing the gun.
- All other choices stay within the choice.
