The Dungeons of Doom replace The Enormous Greater-Than Sign in The Dungeoneers' Association once you've discovered its secret.

A primary stat of 44 is suggested. If your main stat isn't high enough, you'll see the following message:

If calling them the "Dungeons of Doom" wasn't foreboding enough, you can hear lots of chittering, buzzing, blurbling, and the occasional scream coming from inside. Maybe you should check out the Dungeons of Gently Purring Kittens.
(It is recommended that you have at least 44 <mainstat> to adventure here.)

History

  • Previously, the Ouch! You bump into a door! non-combat had a 50% rejection rate, meaning that (after non-combat queue effects) the adventure occurred on 16% of non-combats, and the other three non-combats occurred on 28% of non-combats. But then 14 Nov 2012 happened, and now we don't have to worry about it.

References

  • Everything that occurs in this area is a reference to the computer game NetHack, a derivative of Rogue. In Rogue, the dungeon the player adventured in was referred to as the "Dungeon of Doom".
