The Dripping Guide

The Drip is hostile, horrible, and hard to navigate. Fortunately, it's not impossible to navigate, as veteran dripnauts have discovered. Talk to Jeremy Science, the Boss, to start.

Access

You need 2 things to enter The Drip: a drip harness, and Drippy Juice.
Drip harness

  • Costs 50,000 meat.
  • Back item that limits base stats to 100.

Drippy Juice, generated by the following items that are universally terrible for turngen:

  • glass of drippy wine: size 5 booze, allows 5 adventures in The Drip, costs 10,000 meat
  • drippy nugget: size 5 food, allows 5 adventures in The Drip, costs 10,000 meat
  • drippy caviar: size 5 food, allows 5 adventures in The Drip, costs 1,000,000 meat
The following items can be found in deeper areas of The Drip and exist as further ways for people to turn meat into more adventures in The Drip:

Survival

Furthermore, Drippy monsters take a single point of damage from nearly all sources, which is why the following is highly advised in order to fight Drippy monsters:

  • drippy truncheon: 1-handed club, 20,000 meat, deals 30 damage to Drippy monsters. Without it, drippy monsters become extremely tedious to kill, if even possible.
The following optional weaponry can be found in deeper areas of The Drip:
  • drippy stake: 1-handed knife, deals 40 damage to Drippy monsters
  • drippy staff: 1-handed staff, deals Mys/10 damage to Drippy monsters, capped at 50.

In order to last additional rounds against Drippy monsters without needing to heal as often, the following extremely optional items are also available:

Regular Drippy monsters have an environmental effect that deals about 30% of your maximum HP in damage every round, which means they cannot be stunned or staggered, and this damage cannot be avoided. Drippy monsters will also never trigger stinging damage, although regular Passive Damage is still allowed. Because your base stats are limited by the drip harness, this also means your HP will be low enough that a bit of stat boosting will allow you to hit Drippy monsters and survive hits, while still being able to use New Age healing crystals as your primary source of healing in between rounds of dealing damage. While the drippy truncheon can be used for every fight, the stake and the staff deal more damage per round and allow finishing fights with fewer healing crystals.

The Dripping Trees

  1. Build up a total of 106 µg of Drippy Juice. This will take a few days, and should preferably be completed in one ascension.
  2. Adventure in The Dripping Trees until you encounter Drippy House on the Prairie (occurs on the 16th turn and every 15th turn thereafter).
  3. Explore it, and then take whatever new option is unlocked.
  4. Repeat this and explore the house a total of 6 times.

Rewards (at minimum):

The Thing in the Basement

Before exploring the Drippy House for the 7th time, you should buff up in order to fight the boss. You will likely also need the following items:

Refill HP to full (while keeping your maximum below 700), fight the Thing in the Basement.

  1. use the paint bomb on the first round
  2. use a healing crystal every round afterwards
  3. repeat for 30 rounds until it dies

Alternatively, Seal Clubbers can trivialize the fight by equipping a drippy truncheon in the mainhand and a drippy stake in the offhand, and getting really angry:

Once defeated, the Thing will drop an eyeball that grants one of 3 skills, and a fingernail. You must turn in the Fingernail to Jeremy in order to unlock the next zone.

The Dripping Hall

Build up a total of ??? µg of Drippy Juice.

  • Adventure in The Dripping Hall until you find The Hall in the Hall (occurs on the 12th turn and every 12th turn thereafter).

Unlike the Dripping House, all 5 options in the Dripping Hall are immediately available.

The first 4 options can only be done once per day.

Because the drippy orb items require multiple petri dish items, enterprising dripnauts must trade with each other in order to acquire all of the parts.
