  • Ummm, this is intersting, but what is it doing on the wiki? Coldfront seems like a better place to post this, or a personal website.--Terrabull 01:07, 30 July 2006 (CDT)
    • Disagree - I like it, we just need to find a home for it. --Gymnosophist 08:03, 21 September 2006 (CDT)
    • a years' info from four years ago really isn't interesting. if it were zoom- and scalable and in real time, perhaps there would be a place for it. coldfront does that kind of live price ticker stuff anyway, so that place would be there. if no-one objects in the next 24h it's going. --Evilkolbot 11:33, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

The Rye (delete | links), Talk (delete)

That page is just random spam. And it is on the History of KoL page. --Swordmast3r, 20:56, 6 December 2006 (CMT)

  • Nope...sorry...go ahead and appeal my decision to User:Jinya if you want.--SomeStranger (t|c) 20:35, 14 December 2006 (CST)
  • It's vanity, and really doesn't belong on the wiki. --Improv 07:57, 2 April 2007 (CDT)
  • Agrees with sword and improv --Killerrabbit 15:46, 3 April 2007 (CDT)
  • I similarly agree; it's quite nonsensical and useless. It even stops being funny rather quickly. --Invariel 19:57, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
  • I wouldn't delete it- even Wikipedia has like 40 LONG pages of just random funny crap that people wrote one day. --Frummidge 20:57, 27 November 2007 (CST)
  • I vote 'Nay'. While it is a satirical post about the Rye, it does serve as a list of the members. I think this was done in response to Chubbles' Clan Histories. Anyone who knows the Rye knows they have an interesting sense of humor and awesomeness about them. This is merely an extension of that. If you're going to toss this, toss all the other clan pages with it. --Shoptroll 12:19, 21 January 2008 (CST)
  • yup, one more nay. although tossing all the clan pages is tempting the big ones (and, yes, the rye is big) are a part of kol history. --Evilkolbot 16:38, 13 February 2008 (CST)

Make War, Not... Oh, Wait (delete | links), Talk (delete)

Obsoleted page. --TechSmurf 03:47, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

  • i'd have to say that the redirect is probably useful, even though you can't search for "make war" and get a sensible result. so i vote it stays. --Evilkolbot 08:40, 29 July 2007 (CDT)

Shields (by DR)

Mysticality weapons (delete | links), Talk (delete)

As noted in its talk page, not particularly heavily used/useful? Redundant with Off-hand Items/Damage Reduction.--Bagatelle 19:25, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

  • Bump? Also, with yesterday's merging of melee/mysticality, is there any point to keeping a myst weapons page? --BagatelleT/C 02:55, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Template:FEATURE Ancient Yuletide Troll (delete | links)

As it says on Category:Featured Articles, a page for every familiar is not needed. --Irregular 23:16, 3 May 2008 (CDT)

I like some of these, like the NPZR one. The featured articles description says we don't need one for every familiar, but it also doesn't say we shouldn't have any. Of course, it doesn't make much difference if the whole featured article thing is going to remain as neglected as it has been, but that more of a discussion for Template talk:Featuredarticle, which is where I'll take it. --Prestige 23:39, 3 May 2008 (CDT)

Frobo (delete | links)

It's a redirect I'm assuming of some slang version of 'food hobo'. Is this really necessary?--Ashallond 20:47, 6 May 2008 (CDT)

Bottle-rockets

This page doesn't cover anything that isn't already on the bottle-rocket crossbow page. Does anyone feel it needs to be kept? If not, I'm removing it and pulling everything into the BRC page. --TechSmurf 01:49, 11 June 2008 (CDT)

Disco Bandit Combat Skills

Kind of redundant, all info is available or a link away on Disco Bandit. I'd redirect it, but the search string isn't something that seem like it'd get hits.--Toffile 22:57, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

  • I agree with this one. Needs to be tossed. Only Chester's Moustache was linking to it. The page name doesn't really make any sense either in relation to its content. And it's just too...small. --Flargen 14:57, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

User:Toffile/Cooking

Festival of jarlsberg (delete | links)

Unneccessary capitalization-only redirect (see Proposed_Standards#Redirects) --Itsatrap 17:16, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

  • This capitalization redirect is necessary - after deleting it, entering "feast of jarlsberg" in the Search box and clicking Go would fail to open the page. --Quietust (t|c) 21:31, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Feast of boris (delete | links)

Unneccessary capitalization-only redirect. --Itsatrap 17:27, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

  • See "feast of jarlsberg". I seem to recall that page names containing " of " require capitalization redirects, and that for those cases we only create one in all lowercase. --Quietust (t|c) 21:31, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Looking at the MediaWiki code itself (includes/SearchEngine.php, SearchEngine::getNearMatch($searchterm)), it only handles the following variations: all lowercase, All Words Capitalized, ALL UPPERCASE, and Word Caps-Breaking(At)Various{Types}Of.Word?Separation!Characters. In the case where the desired page name doesn't follow one of these patterns, then a capitalization redirect is entirely necessary. --Quietust (t|c) 21:46, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
      • Thanks for the clarification; I didn't realize that the mixed-capitalization scenario works differently. --Itsatrap 22:08, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Template:ZAP Sea Fruits and Veggies

Zap group I split into two after noticing I never seemed to zap out of a particular set of 3. --Flargen 21:04, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Template:ZAP Food11

Template:ZAP Shore

Renamed zap groups. --Flargen 23:51, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Template:Noinclude

Part of an attempt to have a generating template auto-cat the derivative templates without that category being included in subsequent pages. Didn't work like I wanted it to. Gave up. So on and so forth. --Flargen 23:51, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Bubblin' Stone

Data:Bubblin' Stone

Miscapitalized page that's been moved. --Flargen 09:52, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:NeedsNS13Update

Unused template. Seems to have been discarded in favor of {{NS13Rewrite}}. --Flargen 14:10, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:ZAP Mutant Couture

Items don't zap anymore. Nerf nerf nerf. --Flargen 09:29, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Hovering Sombrero/Stat-spading-log

Abandoned page. I've moved its data onto the talk page in a relatively compact form. --Flargen 14:54, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Drinks By Ingredient/Rejig

This project has been completed and implemented already. --Flargen 14:54, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Blob-shaped Crimboween cookie

Misspelled page. Item had nothing to do with Crimboween. And I'm starting to wonder when a mod last looked at this page. There seems to be a backlog up to at least the Locations by Stat Gain entry. Only like one mod comment from there on, and I think the one set of deletions within that span wasn't inspired by this page. --Flargen 15:02, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Wasn't misspelled, I just pulled the template off of one of the Crimboween cookies, and substituted "blob" for "bat". I forgot that it was Crimboween not Crimbo. :sweatdrop:--Toffile 15:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:Test/ListItem

Test template that appears to have been abandoned. It's extra functionality over the current {{ListItem}} can be duplicated by other templates, anyway. --Flargen 02:54, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes

:Category:Userboxes

Essentially unused wiki feature. And it seems the creator is fine with it being deleted as well. This was even mentioned on the Userboxes talk page; must've slipped Quietust's mind to go ahead and delete it. It's still used on the creator's page; could just be subst'd before deletion, remove the categorization tags, and then Munkel can decide if he wants to delete that page or not. If he's still around. --Flargen 03:18, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

:Image:wrist.gif

Was uploaded with a different name than the game uses for the glow-in-the-dark wristwatch. The image exists at the correct image name now. --Flargen 12:56, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

User:Chesssage

Talk comment was accidentally posted to his user page. Since moved. --Flargen 12:56, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

User page in the namespace --Chunky_boo 03:57, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Test:StaticInfobox

Test template that's no longer needed. Infobox templates have since been implemented. --Flargen 13:44, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Template:Clan nontradeables

Blank, unused, abandoned template. --Flargen 14:12, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Donho's Bubbly Ballad (skill) (delete | links), Talk (delete)

Disambiguation page turned out not to be needed. The effect has a different name than the skill.--DVuser.giffile_icon.gifmail_icon.giflink_icon.gif 23:07, 6 February 2009 (UTC) Actually, turns out this is looking like a bug and this might really be needed (skill triggering the wrong effect). Maybe wait a tick for things to get sorted out. --DVuser.giffile_icon.gifmail_icon.giflink_icon.gif 06:56, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

For chriss...it's obviously a bug. We can't put in the proper effect until whatever is causing it gets sorted out. It's plainly obvious that it's an AT song (can't cast more than 3 at a time) and yet it gives an effect that is a) given by a semi-rare b) is not at all referenced by the skill text and c) doesn't actually count towards the AT song cap. It's bugged. Don't delete it and let me go fix it so it's ready for proper rollout whenever the skill gets fixed.--Toffile 16:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Talk:"WILL WORK FOR BOOZE" sign

Data:"WILL WORK FOR BOOZE" sign

Item was renamed in game to use single quotes (though I don't think the mall search has been updated to reflect this just yet). Base page itself may also need deletion, though for now I haven't nominated it, so it can serve as a redirect. Just in case. --Flargen 13:20, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Fernswarthy's Basement, Level 5

Oyster Egg Day XX has not occured yet.--Tiasoprano 05:02, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Big brass drum

The correct page is big bass drum as the description indicates; this one is just a duplicate under the wrong name--Lordebon 19:57, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Old Slay Your Nemesis Quest

Seems like someone made a fork and told no one about it. Orphaned.--Toffile 22:13, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Phun with Redirects

  • I did the first 500 redirects, leaving the ones that shouldn't be deleted off the list. Please leave comments as whether you agree or disagree with my selection before we go through any more.--Dehstil (t|c) 18:16, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
  • Ok, went through all of them. The question now is: if I added the delete links, would you should we delete them?--Dehstil (t|c) 20:47, 2 July 2006 (CDT);00:38, 12 July 2006 (CDT)
  • I added a message to "Safe adventuring" asking for all outstanding links and bookmarks to be updated. Should I add this messagebox to all relevant redirects?--Dehstil (t|c) 15:25, 9 October 2006 (CDT)

TheKolWiki:Current events

  • Should we try to use this for something or no?--Dehstil (t|c) 17:16, 26 August 2006 (CDT)
    • Last call before deletion, how about KoL events like holidays, or some of the stuff we have in the announcement system?
Edit: Or, if it were updated, we could use TheKolWiki:Current Projects.--Dehstil (t|c) 16:35, 27 August 2006 (CDT)

Main Page Makeover Example

  • Should this be deleted, saved as history, or used as a main page suggestion sandbox?--Dehstil (t|c) 16:28, 4 September 2006 (CDT)
    • Mmm, not history. We can delete the page, or blank it and save it as a placeholder for a possible future makeover. I guess I'd say just delete it. We should archive the talk page though - it has some valuable content. --Gymnosophist 16:43, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

Pappabear

A page about a "famous" spammer. I don't think he is famous enough to warrant his own page.--Jubbers14 19:50, 25 November 2006 (CST)

I don't think so. I found that page a interesting read. It's KoL related, it's educational, and it's non-stuby. That alone is worth it's own page.--Munkel 23:06, 19 March 2007 (CDT)

  • Concur with Jubbers14 - we don't want to encourage vandals by increasing their fame. --Improv 07:55, 2 April 2007 (CDT)
  • Concur with Munkel. I would not have known about this noted scammer except for this page and it seems to be an important part of KoL meta-history. Also, Bashy recognition-by-artwork must count for something. --Killerrabbit 15:42, 3 April 2007 (CDT)
  • No need to delete this. It's a part of KoL History. It's not encouraging vandals, it's pointing out what happened.

--Clackling 10:05, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

  • I've mixed feelings. At the time, he was indeed quite notable, and he did earn somewhat of a place in the history of the game and the forum. On the other hand, that's pretty much ancient history now, and nobody really gives a shit about who pappabear was. He had no lasting legacy. I would say that the page probably doesn't fit with the goals of this wiki. --Aardvark (Talk | Contribs) 18:21, 18 February 2008 (CST)

Template:FEATURE Evil Golden Arches

All lies now... --Bagatelle 19:58, 11 February 2008 (CST)

  • is there a way of archiving the content? --Evilkolbot 16:33, 13 February 2008 (CST)
    • Well, most of the factual content on the Feature is found on Evil Golden Arches, with the remainder (mall availability of Damned Meals) being found on Children's Meal of the Damned. While the Feature is undeniably written more coyly, the information is no longer correct. To correct the article, we'd have to either limit it to the regular arches (kinda bleh to have three lines saying "this is a container you can use to get food"), or use past tense (why Feature something that's no longer in-game, er, not that anyone's bothered to rotate the articles in the last four months--we is so lazy). --Bagatelle 17:45, 13 February 2008 (CST)

User:Starwed/quickitem (delete | links)

Is just a really weird user page with no information. --Noinamg 01:08, 17 February 2008 (CST)

Just a guess, but I think he decided to create a convenient place for him to "look up" the basic skeleton for an item page, rather than having to think up an appropriate (actual) item to look up and then yoink the code from (which is what I usually do if I can't remember something). --Flargen 04:55, 18 February 2008 (CST)
  • it's also in his user space so he can do whatever he likes. within reason, of course. --Evilkolbot 06:17, 18 February 2008 (CST)
  • Yeah, I was using that as a subst template to create items a bit more quickly. (Maybe we should have some official pages for that?) I guess now that I can delete pages I should do a clean-up of my userspace, though... (there's a lot of cruft from template experiments lying around there. ^_^)--Starwed 08:55, 18 February 2008 (CST)

Talk:Strange Leaflet Walkthrough (delete | links)

I don't know if this is the right place for this but the secret words still show up in the edit history. --Chunky_boo 22:43, 24 March 2008 (CDT)

  • I don't know how rigorous we should be... if one does a search of the sekrit words, they show up in several mainspace articles (including several obvious places to look!) and at least one user page. --Bagatelle 19:50, 12 April 2008 (CDT)

Locations by Stat Gain

Area Summary

Very out-of-date, very derelict pages and projects. Their former use can be consumed pretty much entirely in Advancement#External Links (once someone finds a more-up-to-date link). Best case these pages need to be tagged for {{rewrite}}. --Flargen 21:53, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Template:ANNOUNCE 666 (delete | links)

Do we need this anymore? It was good for one day. Over two years ago. Or should we add this to the History category, since I think there's something related to this there already? --Flargen 02:07, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
