Everything seems to work fine. The only issue is that suppressing categorization requires putting noinclude tags on the target page.--Dehstil (t|c) 16:16, 23 June 2006 (CDT)

Just testing to make sure I'm doing this part right. --Serdash 01:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Line breaks and categorization

I can't figure this one out. I have a template, IotM Description, that is meant to fit inline amongst other notes. I also want it to categorize each page in which it's included. However, using a category tag seems to inevitably create a line break in the final template, so that a bulleted entry following the template suffers some weird spacing issues. You can see an example of this here (notice the unusually large space between end of the first entry and the beginning of the second).

Is there a way to fix this so that a category tag does not cause a line break? --Southwest 02:38, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

    1. Yes--there was an extra line break in the template between </includeonly> and <noinclude>, which caused the break in consecutive list items.
    2. I want to do terrible, evil things to whoever designed Wikimedia's template syntax. --BagatelleT/C 03:34, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
