Template talk:Sic

Okay, so, I'm guessing this problem is stemming from the category inclusion, but this template is currently breaking lines. (See?) Any ideas on how to fix this but maintain the category? --TechSmurf 17:42, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

  • So, it's not the category. I tried[sic] manually inserting the code, and it seems to work fine. I'm probably missing one little thing, but I can't find it. Hm. --TechSmurf 17:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
    • Using subst deosn't[sic]

seem to work, either. Strange. I know not all templates force linebreaks. Plural, for example. --Flargen 18:47, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

    • I r having fixed it, yay! The two linebreaks before "noinclude" were being included because you hadn't told the wiki NOT to include them. --Flargen 18:57, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
      • D'oh. Thanks. I knew it was going to be something I'd smack my head over. Detagging the page to decat it, now. --TechSmurf 19:12, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Issue with how this categorizes

So, the way this template is currently coded it will cause any category it is invoked in to be categorized in Typos, which causes it to appear as a subcategory. See Category:Crossbows, for example. Shall we just accept this behavior, or add code to it that will prevent it from categorizing categories? The latter I could easily do, but then the relevant typos wouldn't be directly linked to from Category:Typos. --Flargen 03:01, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Broken link.

The link is broken. DoubleU (talk) 17:26, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

  • Fixed. ~Erich t/c 17:39, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
    • Still broken. Is the problem at my end? DoubleU (talk) 00:07, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
      • What url does it seem to goto for you? It seems ok to me...maybe clear cache... --Fig bucket (talk) 00:45, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
        • Any url that has 8080 in it seems to not go through. When I changed the template to remove that, it worked. The links on this talk page don't work, still, because they have the 8080 in it, but the template is fine: {{sic}} ~Erich t/c 01:54, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
