Template talk:NeedsConfirm
Actually, I believe that Data is always plural so the correction which was reverted is in fact correct.--SomeStranger (t|c) 16:16, 28 January 2007 (CST)
- It may technically be a plural, but would you really say "these data" instead of "this data"? --Quietust (t|c) 16:39, 28 January 2007 (CST)
Usage
Um, just curious as to how this template is actually supposed to be used. I've typically been using it for content that is already (or that I put unconfirmed) in the article (such as this change to Disco Inferno or this change to Counterclockwise Watch. Apparently with the watch one 'Ivan mistook my comment as confirmation and removed it, thus spreading possibly incorrect information and creating talk throughout the wiki such as on Maximizing Your Rollover Adventures and Extra Rollover Adventures. I was under the impression that {{NeedsContent}} would be used if content was clearly missing and {{NeedsConfirm}} would be used if something is suspicious/listed but unconfirmed in the article. --TheDotGamer 20:15, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- That would be correct - {{NeedsContent}} means information is needed that isn't present, and {{NeedsConfirm}} means that the information on the page needs to be verified. --Quietust (t|c) 20:17, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- Yeah, I missed the difference between NeedsContent and NeedsConfirm. I think I understand now. I apologize for the inconvenience. --'Ivan 19:46, 19 February 2007 (CST)
