"Is so far the only outfit not to include at least two item from among a hat, pants, and a weapon" won't this allow wearing two outfits at the same time?

A hat + A single handed weapon + an accessory? (Yendorian Finery is the only one currently since nethack didn't allow pants)

  • I asked viReyAR to test this. Apparently, the Yendorian Finery completely overrides the Vestments when you wear them at the same time; the image is the @, and all the bonuses (the -5 MP to skills, etc) from the Vestments go away. I guess this gives us some insight into how outfits are handled in the database. Maybe the game checks whether each outfit is being worn, in order, by Outfit ID. Since the Finery comes first, it says "yes" at #16 and doesn't check the rest.--Buttons 17:20, 29 June 2008 (CDT)

Ever notice how the female avatar for the VVV is just the male avatar with girl hair? It even still has the Hobo stubble. --Ephinia 03:41, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

If you think that's funny, check out the outfits page some time. --Raijinili 14:38, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Outfit effect

According to Mr Mistoffelees, the outfit effect is -5 mp cost.--Spiderveins mcgee 19:34, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

  • Does it stack with other reducers, and does it work for non-Pastamancers? —Yendor 13:29, 24 June 2008 (CDT)
    • It does stack with other reducers, at least for now. I expect that'll be changed. --Vireyar 14:42, 24 June 2008 (CDT)
      • And it appears it does not work for non-Pastamancers. —Yendor 06:28, 20 July 2008 (CDT)
      • Does it still work with other MP-cost reducers?--Sir Spanky 16:37, 29 August 2008 (CDT)
        • I'm still getting a total -8MP with this and my other -3MP item. Mikachu 07:15, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

It seems to me that when wearing this, hobos never use their special get-the-jump attack. It makes sense that all the outfits would do this since you blend in. --Noims 23:06, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
