i heard a rumor it has something to do with a trophy? -richie

Could you cite the rumour? Is it on the KoL forums, or just something you heard from someone who heard someone mention it? --markm 15:10, 6 April 2006 (CDT)

I heard it from one of my clan members. ~Richie

Pantsthief has had a conversation with Mr. Skullhead via pm, and Skully said that there are no uses yet. -atomic shlumpster

I got one today. Need to add "Cannot be discarded" and "Quest Item" but I can't figure out how to get the lines to break. If anyone wants to put those in, I'd be grateful. --SpleenMaster 17:27, 6 April 2006 (CDT)

I knew that defeating a vampire with wooden stakes would give something, but i seemed to not get the vampire adventure when i tried.... wooden stakes might lower the chance of getting the vampire adventure?

  • You're just unlucky. I found the vampire on my third adventure.--Smirror 20:39, 8 April 2006 (CDT)
    • I meant that when i was a newbie, level 4 or so, I saw the wooden stakes, equipted them, then tried to fight a vampire. I didn't get it in 40 or so adventures, so I guess Jick made it so that you can get the adventure. --Kookoo275 18:18, 15 April 2006 (CDT)
  • People have this item in their display case and it was just added to the database. --SomeStranger 18:36, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
  • There doesn't seem to be a trophy in this - I had over 200 hearts in my inventory without anything showing up. Same with the Blood. Shaventalz 10:03, 25 April 2006 (CDT)

I was just adventuring in the Guano Junction with wooden stakes and saw this drop from a vampire bat. Screenshot can be found at --sl1me 13:02, 10 May 2006 (CDT)

  • Shouldn't it be mentioned *where* to exchange the vampire heart into the bottle of used blood? --Zigota Lt 09:08, 3 November 2006 (CST)
    • Good point. Done. --Jonrock 09:45, 3 November 2006 (CST)
  • Pardon my n00bness, but doesn't having 2 of them in your inventory and it saying "Vampire Heart" mean that the plural is "Vampire Heart", not that it's impossible to determine?

--Steve the Mighty 23:58, 28 February 2007 (CST)

  • Nope, because the name of the item in your inventory doesn't reflect th plural if you have more than one, it just stays the same no matter how many you have. The plural only shows when you're selling it, cooking it, etc. --Logiedan 21:31, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
  • You bump into the famed Vampire Hunter in a clearing.
  • "Looks like you've got some vampire hearts, there. 2, to be exact. May I?"
    • Looks to me like the plural form of vampire heart is vampire hearts Felinoel 12:47, 18 August 2008 (CDT)
      • No, that's just what the adventure text says. And adventure text (and quest text) generally has nothing to do with actual item plural forms. --Quietust (t|c) 12:52, 18 August 2008 (CDT)
