Talk:Useless powder

The notes say you can get this from smashing an autoplunger. Is that correct? I didn't perm that skill, so I can't test it now, but when I had it I got twinkly powders out of them. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:32, 26 January 2007 (CST)

  • All equipment which can be bought at an NPC store smashes into useless powder. The Gnollish autoplunger can be made completely out of items purchased in the Degrassi Knoll General Store, so it makes sense. --JRSiebz (|§|) 18:39, 26 January 2007 (CST)
  • You do remember correctly. This item, which can be constructed entirely from store-bought parts, had to be patched to prevent converting meat directly into twinkly wads without spending turns. --Jonrock 18:52, 26 January 2007 (CST)

I just tried smashing a stuffed frozen gravy fairy, and I got useless powder. Does this happen with all stuffies? --Asimovmov 15:07, 29 January 2007 (CST)

  • What did you expect from an item with no enchantments? --Quietust (t|c) 15:34, 29 January 2007 (CST)
    • Ngggh! Looks like I was a bit tired yesterday. Is it ok to delete your own stupid useless comments on this wiki? --Asimovmov 13:44, 30 January 2007 (CST)

So, uh, does this powder go away when used? I'm a bit left in the dust here (haha). -Goffrie 20:13, 13 July 2007 (CDT)

  • Uh, never mind. I got one (finally) (from a Genalen bottle) and using/discarding can get rid of it. -Goffrie 13:09, 14 July 2007 (CDT)

Seems like this would have been an obvious thing to try, but since there's no comments about it here I have to ask: Has anyone tried using/discarding a large number of these and checking for a trophy, post-ns13? --sl1me 03:36, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Yes. I have discarded 150 useless powders, to no effect. --Barbarian7 15:16, 7 May 2008 (CDT)

Clan Stash

The Clan Stash says this is worth 0 karma, and thus impossible for people without special clearance to withdraw. All other 0 karma items I know of are vital to one thing or another, or give a hefty buff. Also, worthless trinkets are valuable whereas valuable trinkets are not. Has no one discovered the worth of this yet? Almost certainly it's more than it seems... I think. Kilyle 01:18, 5 December 2007 (CST)

Maybe a trophy related to it? --Naughty Sorceress Apprentice 10:30, 24 March 2008 (CDT)
I have 66669 useless powders in my display case, and a few more in inventory. Many thousands were created at once smashing cool whips. I don't think there is a useless powder trophy. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 13:45, 24 March 2008 (CDT)
