Talk:Tuxedo shirt
- Tux reference? --Tim teh pwner 23:31, 17 April 2007 (CDT)
- Doubt it. Tux shirts have been around for a lot longer than Linux.--Dorf (Talk | Contribs) 23:34, 17 April 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah. On reconsideration, I reckon this joke and Tux probably come from the same underlying idea --Tim teh pwner 23:37, 17 April 2007 (CDT)
- Is it a reference to James Bond's penchant for martinis?--Rentsy 18:10, 19 February 2008 (CST)

Martini Adventure Gains
Huh, haven't heard about this before. Anyway...
Range for a martini without any kind of modifiers is 5-6. With a tux shirt: 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 6, 7, 7, 7.
Seems to be even more effective than Ode to Booze. --TechSmurf 12:22, 9 October 2007 (CDT)
Does it stack with Ode to Booze? --Mercantilia 04:26, 18 October 2007 (CDT)
- Not sure. My tests took place on someone elses character, and on my own character during BM. I'll probably do more extensive testing when I can. --TechSmurf 10:58, 18 October 2007 (CDT)
Dirty Martini yields: 24, 26 Dirty Martini yields: 30, 33 with Ode, Tux and Blender
vesper + shirt + ode = 29; --Evilkolbot 12:23, 16 November 2007 (CST)
I got a bunch of 18s, 19s, and 20s from rockin' wagons with this shirt (using Ode to Booze but not Blender). Curiously there is no bonus to a little sump'm sump'ms. --PlatypusNinja 21:46, 25 November 2007 (CST)
- Well if the image theory is right, I would see why the LSS's wouldn't get a bonus, they use the image of a martini glass with an umbrella, not the normal one, while the confirmed drinks all use the regular one (3-drunkeness drinks, or the rockin' wagon, which uses magical ice cubes). Just my $.02 on the matter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimfromtx (talk • contribs) on 00:12, 29 April 2008
Here is a link to a HCO forum thread on this. I also didn't see any bonus to the sump'm sump'm.--Starwed 02:47, 26 November 2007 (CST)
I tried gibsons with the shirt on, and got: 8,8,7,11,10. My current theory is that any drink using File:martini.gif () benefits from the tuxedo. :) --Starwed 03:16, 26 November 2007 (CST)
If that is true, then it would boost Beertini. Is this the case? --Proto Fan 10:59, 5 January 2008 (CST)
- Drank 5 beertinis, got a range of 4-8. If the bonus is always positive, the 4 rules out a bonus activating for beertinis. --Bagatelle 17:00, 28 April 2008 (CDT)
I can confirm that the tuxedo shirt does not work with dirty martinis. I filed a bug report saying that I had sometimes gotten 22 adventures and never gotten 27. I got a reply (from Multi Czar, of all people), saying that it's not an accident but behaving as designed. Prefect 12:16, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Does it work for drinks from the Gnomish Microbrewery?
My results from drinking dry martinis from the Microbrewery today with Tuxedo Shirt + Ode + Blender are 14, 14, 11, 14, 9, 12. This isn't outside of the expected range from just Ode + Blender, although the 14's are right at the top of the expected range (10+3+1). Can anyone provide additional data? --Pantsless 09:35, 27 January 2008 (CST)
Sure. No equipment but the tuxedo shirt, and I am Blender sign; but no Ode. I drank 7 at the MMB, and my adventure gains were 12, 8, 9, 13, 10, 7, 9. --Terion 21:21, 27 January 2008 (CST)
It appears to work at the Microbrewery, got 14, 10, 15, 13, 11, 11 with Tuxedo Shirt + Ode + Vodka Gibson, which is outside of the 5-10 (8-13 with Ode) range. --Cheesecookie 05:47:38, 28 September 2012 (EST)
Does it work with any superhuman cocktailcrafting drinks?--Rentsy 16:45, 8 February 2008 (CST)
- Maybe: the only two drinks of
that are not on the list on the article page are vodka gibson and beertini. Gibson works, so I think vodka gibson should too: there's no evidence of vodka gibson working yet though... --CG1:t,c,e 18:49, 19 February 2008 (CST)
- Just drank two Neuromancers while wearing a tuxedo shirt, no Ode, no Blender. Got 18 adventures from the first and 14 from the second, so it doesn't look like the shirt did anything. --Johnny Treehugger 10:32, 18 June 2008 (CDT)
Does it work with a Corspetini?
I don't know if the Corspetini is technically a martini or not. I'm leaning on yes but can't test right now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ST Dumas (talk • contribs)
- I doubt it. Corpsetini does not use

Spading
All of this is done drinking martinis.
Martini's base range is 5-6.0. Blender makes this 5-6.6.
With just Blender and the Tux:
Adventures | Theoretical Chance | Observed Count | Observed Chance | 95% C.I. |
---|---|---|---|---|
6 | 6.66% | 13 | 5.86% | 3.15% |
7 | 23.33% | 47 | 21.17% | 5.48% |
8 | 33.33% | 64 | 28.83% | 6.08% |
9 | 26.66% | 70 | 31.53% | 6.24% |
10 | 10% | 28 | 12.61% | 4.46% |
The data suggests that the assumption that the Tux adds 1-3 uniform-randomly fits. More data would obviously be better, but I'm getting very tired of spading out consumables. If someone else wants to continue with this, go for it. --MindlessGames 17:29, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Siphon Spirits
As I mentioned on Talk:Siphon Spirits, I got minimum values for Humanitini, Red Dwarf, More Human Than Humantini, and Golden Mean while wearing a tuxedo shirt. Don't have easy access to penguins or crimboids so I can't test the other two. --Johnny Treehugger 16:15, 20 March 2012 (CET)
