Given that the white dragon fang can't be untinkered either I doubt its a bug. Its probably in place to stop people fiddling and trying to find ways around only making one, or at that very least maintain the fiction that this is a unique artefact that can only be created once. Breaking it and remaking it multiple times would contradict that. Discordance 20:33, 6 January 2013 (CET)

Can you get a second of each component to drop? Or are they limited like the other swords? Yvain 13:46, 16 January 2013 (CET)

• I would expect you could farm an unlimited amount for one good reason: The components are tradable. If each player could only get one each, they would have been made untradable so players couldn't screw themselves over by accident. --Yatsufusa 14:50, 16 January 2013 (CET)

    • For all I know that's just an assumption right now as nobody has posted data about his second try. Since it's bloody expensive to farm even one, maybe nobody has either tried to farm more than one or hasn't updated the wiki accordingly.       • I can't find where I thought I read it so I retract that. On the subject of these drops I have have multiple (two) wads of spider silk drop today so it (and I assume the others) are multi-gettable. Yvain 03:22, 20 January 2013 (CET)
        • I've gotten 2 spider silks also, which resulted in 3 rare item drops in total before I made Truthsayer. Once I made the sword, I have not gotten a single drop (100+ turns in the 3rd set of 6). It is possible that a user might only get 3 drops total, or that the drops stop after you make the sword. • I can finally settle this -- well... at least partly. I sold my very first Truthsayer-component in the mall and after lots of jars (more than 30, less than 70), I got to 3 components again. As some others, I didn't get exactly one of each kind, so I had to zap a little, but the case is made: One player can get more than 3 components.
  I can't tell what conditions are checked or if any checking is taking place at all, but at the very least: If you don't own a Truthsayer and only have 2 components on your character you can get a third. I will continue to do Gourd jars for a while (with the components still in my dc) to see if I can get any more. --Yatsufusa (talk) 19:09, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
