  • Does anyone know the reference here? I seem to remember that it's from a movie, but I just can't place it. I think it was a woman that smelled flower, and fainted. --Vingelot 13:09, 13 June 2007 (CDT)
    • Given the adventure it comes from, it's most likely a play on the sleep-inducing poppies from the Wizard of Oz. --Quietust (t|c) 13:15, 13 June 2007 (CDT)

I believe it is a reference to the Lotus Eaters in Greek Mythology. Wiki Page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_eater --JoltCola 18:35, 13 June 2007 (CDT)

Effects

Does it lower monster level or something? --CG1:t,c,e 18:02, 13 June 2007 (CDT)

From my observations, it at leasts blocks one of their attacks. It might also reduce monster level, but I'm not exactly sure... --Blargon 1:44, 14 June 2007 (EST)

Tower monster

This looks like another cow type monster is coming for NS13 ala barbed wire fence. I threw away one of these on a 1-day attemp thinking (foolishly) that they wouldnt make a shore adventure give you a single use combat item that blocks 1 round of combat or does a small ammount of damage/delevels. I thought 3 turns and 500 meat, thats worth a reusable combat item. If only I had thought of the fence earlier. Cruel admins. One thought that occured to me later though was that maybe it can help in the tower like a tatted scrap of paper, or as an all purpose tower monster killer.... Has anyone tried this? --Darkness 04:07, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Zapping

Anybody else notice that you can ONLY get the orchid from zapping the stick of dynamite? I've zapped 5 barbed-wire fences now, and they've all zapped to dynamite. And every time I zap the stick of dynamite, I get the orchid. Perhaps something is hard-coded in zapping, similar to the boris/jars/pete keys? Or is the RNG playing games on me? --Mailbox head 11:35, 18 July 2007 (CDT)

Nevermind, it was RNG --Mailbox head 08:41, 23 July 2007 (CDT)

Delevelling info

To test delevelling, I used a level 19 Seal Clubber, unarmed, in the Lair of the Ninja Snowman, and alternated combat between hitting and using orchids.
