Talk:Trivial Avocations board game

You open up the Trivial Avocations box and start reading the rules. They're really long and boring, so you quickly lose interest and just start reading the cards with the questions on them.

  • You acquire an item: Trivial Avocations Card: Where?
  • You acquire an item: Trivial Avocations Card: Who?
  • You acquire an item: Trivial Avocations Card: Where?

Who: You Know Who to Call (1) When: You Know When to Walk Away (1) What: You Know What's Up (1) Seems like you get three of four possible cards. The others are Trivial Avocations Card: What? and Trivial Avocations Card: When? Each of these gives you a +10% effect to all the primary stats for one turn. Each of the effects is represented by a trivial pursuit style 4-peg container with one peg filled. I'm guessing there might be something special that happens if you have all four effects active, but that will require some time to verify. --DimensionW 07:47, 25 December 2011 (CET)

Having all four effects at once causes them to be removed and replaced with a 30 turn effect which gives +30% to all stats. --Kirit 08:17, 25 December 2011 (CET)

  • It's giving +100% to all stats for me, and I'm level 30. Level-based maybe? --Emtu 08:57, 25 December 2011 (CET)

When you have all four effects, ALL of the turns of the effects (not just 1 turn) are removed and replaced with 30 turns of Trivia Master: You lose an effect: You Know What's Up (1 Adventure) You lose an effect: You Know Who to Call (2 Adventures) You lose an effect: You Know Where to Go (1 Adventure) You acquire an effect: Trivia Master (duration: 30 Adventures) JimblyCakes 16:37, 28 December 2011 (CET)

On Use

Given that you only receive 3 cards when you use it (and that the cards have a somewhat weak effect), I assume this is something you can use once per day. --Quietust (t|c) 17:33, 25 December 2011 (CET)

  • Myth status: CONFIRMED! Trying to use it more than once in a day gets you the following message:
You've already "played" enough Trivial Avocations for today.

Is it just me or is that when you have all four cards in your inventory, distribution favors the cards you have the most of? I've gone at least four days with at most 1 when card (the card I have the least of), and loads of the others. Argus 22:19, 7 January 2012 (CET)
