I'd just like to contribute something that I noticed while playing under the 'Vole' astrological sign. After rollover, I would notice that my HP and MP would have regenerated much more then normal, as compared to other astrological signs I have ascended under, or just compared to when we did not have astrological signs. I don't have any concrete numbers, but it is something that I will start to record to gain further backup for this claim. - Kyar
I haven't recovered ANY HP or MP in the last few days (no tent), and my Doc Galactics are all working at regular effectivegness. Critical hits have been a little more common than I'm used to, but I just assumed it was the RNG. Maybe I was wrong... - Temporary Man
Don't think its RNG, haven't seen this much critical hits ever. It seems to decrease with higer level monsters though. - Twf
My Doc Galaktik's Ailment Ointments work exactly like listed 8-10 and I've used many dozens with the Vole sign. I'm very sure Vole doesn't affect them. -- Crowther
I've played at least 200 turns fighting yetis for meat, and im shure it's increasing the critical hits always. First I was a turtle tamer then I was a pastamancer and it was like having "Enchanted brass knuckles" - Fdo
I did some hard core counting of Critical Hir occurance, 1000 turns with and without the Vole Sign. See the KoL fourms for a more detailed post. It's pretty conclusive. --Babyscarface 23:07, 19 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
From the Toot Oriole
I asked the Oriole about this sign, and got this response:
Vole is short-tempered,
small but nasty when cornered.
Quick, spiteful, vicious.
--Perhaps higher chance of critical hits when you're at lower HP? 184.108.40.206 14:31, 18 November 2005 (Central Standard Time)
- The Toot Oriole speaks of the animal, the Vole. Not the sign vole. The admins are cruel like that, refusing to share secrets :P -TDG 00:53, 20 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
- someone check on vole=eye of the stoat. soupersalad
