Talk:The Unkindest Cut
Scotsman
There's a somewhat-poor recording of the poem in song at http://www.daire.org/scotsman.php which could be linked to, though I'm sure there are better versions out there somewhere.--Terion 11:37, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
- I think its fine with just the wikilink.--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 14:08, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
- Since Wikipedia didn't have any information on this particular song, I found it less useful than I wanted. I dug up a site that had the full text and added that link to the page; there's also a cover of it being performed. The site Terion suggested includes a more popular cover of the song, but I didn't like that they don't credit the song's original author. --Greg1104 01:35, 22 July 2006 (CDT)
Those Bastards!
I need a reason beyond those bastards, they killed kenny. Why this is a South Park reference. As is it isn't attatched to a comment about anyones death, and seems to simply be a explicitive of surprise. As such for the moment im removing it. Please comment here with a reason before re-adding it.--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 01:58, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
- I thought it was done in a similar enough style to be a fairly obvious reference. Variants on "You bastard!" show up regularly on South Park; for example, in Rainforest Schmainforest there's "You know... they...they're bastards" after the usual refrain. And with 6 or so other South Park references in the game so far, we know the KoL staff watches the show regularly. --Greg1104 19:58, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
There Must Be More To This Life...
Is it just me, or does this adventure seem rather...Well, rather pointless? I mean, you need to have extra drunkeness and you need the portable corkscrew to get this adventure, yet there's no special rewards. Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, there's something that we're missing? For example, maybe showing up in a grass guise changes it somehow. I'm in oxycore right now, so I don't have access to my grass guise, so could somebody check for me? --PhantomTrogdor 02:33, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
This adventure probably works like the old bottle opener adventure. In that there will be an item to be had, but we're not going to get it until tomorow at rollover.--ChroniclerC 02:43, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
Okay, I can now confirm that you get an item the next day. Specificly, you get the blue ribon that was attached to your spleen, although it seems that you can only get it once, no matter how many times you got the adventure. I'd add the page for the item myself, but I'm computer inept (I don't know how).--ChroniclerC 23:26, 21 July 2006 (CDT)
