This is probably going to sound dumb. Is this dungeon the same for every player on a given day? (i.e. it's different every day, but each day player X and player Y will have the same set of adventures?) I just did it on some multis and they all got the same adventures in the same order? --Plater (t|c) 14:10, 7 January 2008 (CST)

  • Yes. Uh, odd that this hasn't yet been noted in the article. --Bagatelle 17:07, 7 January 2008 (CST)

Stat test raw data

This information has been relocated to Talk:Daily Dungeon Stat Tests.

The relocated info relates to the old Daily Dungeon. I'm adding my stat test data for the new dungeon here since I notice nobody has contributed. This is the number of successful attempts for varying buffed stat levels, given as "buffed stat (unbuffed stat)". Based on my limited sample size, it does not seem that the success rate changes with higher stats. --Tiny Plastic Andalite (talk) 11:12, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

42 (41) - 1 of 2 attempts

49 (40) - 2 of 2 attempts

63 (41) - 0 of 2 attempts

64 (49) - 1 of 2 attempts

67 (40) - 3 of 3 attempts

68 (41) - 1 of 1 attempt

96 (66) - 0 of 1 attempt

97 (67) - 2 of 3 attempts

Did not record unbuffed stat 187 - 0 of 1 attempt

Elemental Damage

Damage caused by the elemental rooms is variable, based on level. There is no cap. --Aardvark 18:25, 26 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

  • Right, my bad, in that case it would seem that the Brrrrr adventure is calculated as HP*8/13 --Remby 16:31, 26 Jun 2005 (Mountain Daylight Time)

The notes for the Elemental Damage adventures are slightly misleading - they don't really "require Hot Resistance - or level-dependent HP to spare" - you just have to be willing to risk being beaten up. Maybe we should say "requires Hot Resistance in order to avoid Hot damage". --Gymnosophist 00:42, 7 September 2006 (CDT)

  • Replace the word "require" entirely. Perhaps "Prevent hot damage with hot resistance (optional)."--Dehstil (t|c) 00:47, 7 September 2006 (CDT)

Just to clear up confusion, does ANY level of the appropriate elemental resistance work to get past the elemental rooms unscathed, or does it have to be a certain level, ie so-so?--Fettucini carabinieri 23:03, 25 May 2007 (CDT)

  • Any level will do. --Hellion 23:53, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
  • How about
"Deals (elemental) damage unless any form of (elemental) Resistance is active"
to make things entirely completely very clear? --FLO 01:41, 26 May 2007 (CDT)

Choice adventure/noncombat adventure template?

Should we use the choice adventure template for all the stat/elemental tests, as opposed to the noncombat template? It seems unnecessary to have the (lack of) meat/item/stat gains for each one, as well as leaving the explanation as a note. --TechSmurf 18:56, 9 June 2007 (CDT)

  • I think when the template for the noncombat stuff was created, no one got around to implanting it here. I say use it (though I'm not an admin, so maybe wait until an admin gives the ok)--RPGMarker35 19:24, 9 June 2007 (CDT)

The gasmask page says it dropped here in the Daily dungeon, but I don't see any note of it here. Did it drop in a now unknown adventure or was it removed from a still existing adventure? --Suikoman444 21:52, 2 September 2008 (CDT)

Skeleton Key

How often does a Skeleton Key break if it's used to unlock a door? Do we know this? Does it need to be spaded? --Hyp_nobono

Basement comparison

"The dungeon is unusual in that, like Fernswarthy's Basement, you first get the chance to see what your upcoming opponent/skill test is without having to automatically enter that adventure. "

Isn't that true of the basement as well? --Algernon Mabus (talk) 22:42, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

As is says right there in your quote: both the Daily Dungeon and Fernswarthy's Basement allow you to see what the next test is before you adventure. Or did you mean some other basement? --timrem (talk) 23:34, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Locked Doors

Just in case anyone needs this data for their ascension spreadsheets, there are an average of 1.66 locked doors in each dungeon (or, more accurately, 4220 doors in 2539 dungeons). I got the data from here[1], and I am so grateful they included a search function. --KingBobson (talk) 04:29, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

New Daily Dungeon

Adventuring in the new Daily Dungeon, I got:

Door (tried handle, got hit by a trap),
Door (smashed, no consequences),
Door (smashed, got hit by a trap),
Sabre-Toothed Lime (dropping a Twist of Lime),
Chest (Jug-o-Magicalness),
Element (Sleaze, Magazines),
Element (Stench, Sewage),
Element (Cold, Fridge),
Mayonnaise Wasp (dropping a Glob of Spoiled Mayonnaise),
Chest (Can of Maces),
Door (tried handle, got A Little Bit Poisoned),
Giant Giant Moth,
Dodecapede (dropping a Clutch of Dodecapede Eggs),
Something (I've forgotten),
Chest (Fat Loot Token).

Also, I could adventure here even while Beaten Up. --Fyll (talk) 08:44, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

  • The layout has been exactly the same for me over the last week (door, door, door, monster, chest, trap, trap, trap, monster, chest, door, monster, monster, trap, chest). This can't just be a coincidence. Are other people getting the same layout, or a different but consistant layout? --Fyll (talk) 08:52, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

The new dungeon appears to be randomized per player, as my first adventure was a trap, second a mayonnaise wasp. (I didn't keep track of the other rooms.)--Foggy (talk) 15:28, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

Cleesh-ing monsters doesn't seem to clear the room. I Cleesh-ed a Daily Dungeon monster twice just to make sure, and each time I came back to the same-numbered room. --the_iron_troll 23:39, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

I added that you always see four of each of the kind of rooms. Data is here: --LotsOfPhil
