After having adventured in the basement once, the next instance of the Cabin I went to select the basement again and received "The trap door to the basement slams shut as you approach it." This did not end the non-combat.--MageRed (talk) 22:04, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

  • Same adventure, selecting the kitchen receives "The kitchen door slams shut as you approach it -- looks like the cabin remembers you, and doesn't want you poking around anymore." The attic "The string dances out of your reach. The cabin settles ominously. You should probably just leave." Neither ended the non-combat; I cannot choose any choice but to leave. The kitchen wording is interesting as I have not gone in there or the attic.--MageRed (talk) 22:10, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
  • I unlocked the attic with a skeleton key and it prompted another set of choice advs. One of which was turning off a music box, which purged Spooky monsters from the Forest. glebs 04:39, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

It is. The movie cabin has a mysterious basement that is filled with stuff that can summon the form of death for the cabin visitors, they (inadvertently) choose the diary. One of the monsters that entails has burning coals in the belly. Another item shown in the basement is a music box. Here, there is the cabin, a basement, a coals-in-belly Bugbear, and a music box. The nature of the movie cabin means there are a lot of monsters not invoked, but which we find out about, eg a werewolf. Any similarity between those and Dreadsylvania is probably coincidence. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:50, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
