So.... What exactly does Hemophila do?...--Thou shalt perish 18:23, 13 April 2006 (CDT)

Nobody found it. Aubrianne was given one by Mr. Skullhead. --sl1me 09:13, 14 April 2006 (CDT)

  • I don't know where folks are hearing that she got it from Skully... But I was on the night she FOUND it in a natural drop. She's in my clan, and we heard about it first. --jin 11:21, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
    • From Xenophobe, on the radio. --sl1me 03:03, 17 April 2006 (CDT)
      • X: 'In-game effect hemophilia does?' No. I'm angry at Mr. Skullhead for leaking the item out.
      • J: What happened?
      • X: Mr Skullhead gave AubriAnne a talisman.
      • J: Oh really? I thought she found it. That's sorta gay.
      • X: I'm a little bit angry, but not enough to tell him or do anything about it.
  • So, you probably have the inside scoop on what it does then, huh? You wanna enlighten the rest of us? (: --Pastamancer5 22:06, 14 April 2006 (CDT)

Last night on the radio Xeno was talking about how he was angry at Skully for leaking/giving the talisman to someone. --Baggerschmakle 12:11, 14 April 2006 (CDT)

  • I think he was talking about the april fools count bakula. but i could be wrong.--Kookoo275 15:31, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
  • Hemophilia is defined as "A Group of hereditary disorders in which affected individuals fail to make enough of certain proteins needed to form blood clots." That doesn't even sound like a good thing.--Smirror 19:40, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
Yes kids, from a passing knowlege of medicine, Hemophilia causes large bruises from small impacts and massive bleeding from small cuts. I believe that Romanov prince had it. So in this sense it could make you get beaten up easily or cause an effect "uncontrolable bleeding" or something. HOWEVER: the description only describes the need to drink blood, and vampires. While Hemophilia refers universally to the disease, the etymology is deceptive. Hemo refers to hemoglobin, which is in blood, and Philia means love, like, attraction, need for, etcetera. So, being paronomastic as Jick is, this could be a complicated kind of pun, hemophilia making you a hemophile. Lotusduck 23:07, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
I see. With that knowledge, my best guess would be that it turns you into a human mosquito. Or maybe it does nothing, a sort of final April Fool's Day joke.--Smirror 07:36, 18 April 2006 (CDT)
  • I find it hard to believe that it was actually a monster before april fools. I think jick made it up on april fools and april fools only and then later said that it was real. I think skully made up one of the items and give it to that person. I mean, if it was real before then, one of the THOUSANDS of Kol'ers MUST have found it.

--Jedibob5 13:31, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

Have people found it now? Is it reasonable that only a few have? How rare is an ultra rare? And that's all the curiousity my attention span can handle. Lotusduck 00:03, 26 April 2006 (CDT)
Well very few adventurers will actually have a reason to be adventuring in the mispelled cemetary. So its not entirely impossible that it could've been there for a while.--Veistran 09:40, 30 April 2006 (CDT)
Lotus, they are, well, Ultra Rare. Look at the cost of a Talisman of Baio, and they've been around for a while. If anyone's found and actually used it yet, chances are they don't use the Wiki. --Smirror 19:44, 1 May 2006 (CDT)

It seems likely to me that hemophilia will alter the effects of a bottle of used blood. -Dayv 04:38, 7 May 2006 (CDT)

Actually, having Hemophilia does not make you a Hemophile, it makes you a Hemophiliac. LARGE DIFFERANCE.--Chish 21:01, 22 May 2006 (CDT)

But a large part of this game is jokes, so I don't think that really matters, chish.Ponder Stibbons 01:02, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

Hemophilia is a bit wierd name for the mentioned disease, since it is latin for "Love (or friend) of Blood" Hemo=blood philus=love or friend. Apparently the word originated from hemophiliac, which was first used for people who regularly needed a blood transfusion.

One of my multis encountered the combat event with Scott Bakula in the cemetary today and acquired the item, so I verified the item number as 1519. --Pandaba 05:12, 31 May 2006 (CDT)

So, does anyone know if it is dropped Pre- or Post-Crypt? --Panda 22:06, 31 October 2007 (CDT)

Yes. That is, both. The Notes in the Cyrpt satay that the adventures being replaced won't replace Bakula. --Wildfire393 22:26, 31 October 2007 (CDT)
