Talk:Standard restrictions
As of this posting, items equipped and effects gained from before Standard restrictions are updated (when the year changes) are not removed. I tested this by wearing Smithsness items and using flaskfuls of hollow before RO on New Year's Eve, 2015 -> 2016. My Smithsness items remained equipped, and I still have the Merry Smithsness effect. I also checked that the enchantments were still working by testing my item drop rate. Talking spade and pvp info booth confirmed that my item drop rate still included the +35% from A Light that Never Goes Out (25 from Merry Smithsness, and 5 each from A Light and the Hairpiece on Fire.) I also reduced my item drop to -100% NOT INCLUDING the A Light enchantment, fought in The 8-Bit Realm, and received a black pixel. So, pretty definitive results. One odd thing is that I was still able to cast Summon Smithsness, even though the resulting items were unusable and unequippable. --TwirlyRotini (talk) 08:55, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
It seems that some items are marked based on the idea of when they were supposed to be available rather than the actual dates. Most of the warbear stuff from Crimbo 2013 is now out of standard, even though the Crimbo '13 zones did not close until January 6, 2014. Likewise, items from the 2013 yearly familiars are marked as becoming unavailable prior to 2014-01-01, even though those yearly familiars did not rotate out of Mr. Store until January 20, 2014. I'm surprised I haven't seen players talking/complaining about this. I've been away from the game sporadically this past year; am I missing something? Is it worth noting this information on the page? --Prestige (talk) 07:48, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
Hobopolis
- the Best Foods and Best Booze tables both have Hobopolis food and booze as out of standard. This is not true.
- The reason that saucy noodles are marked as bad moon foods is because these tables are generated automatically. Please can this process be run again, they're both very out of date. --Evilkolbot (talk) 10:37, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the correction about Hobopolis booze/food. Not sure I understand which saucy noodles you are referring to---this page contains the list of bad moon foods/drinks used in generating the best food/booze tables. I haven't updated it in long time, but others have made some updates this year and last; if things are still out of date please edit that page or let me know. --Fig bucket (talk) 11:49, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- thanks for doing that.
- it's not possible to make the following saucy noodles in bad moon. you need a sauceror and a pastamancer skill to make them. is there some other way to get them?
- i'd remove these from the bad moon food and drink page but i fear it's not that simple. --Evilkolbot (talk) 12:03, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
- That makes sense, thanks. I removed them from the list; if there's actually some reasonable way of getting those foods then they can be added in again (probably with a lot others then too). --Fig bucket (talk) 16:03, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
