I'm not sure what's going on with these effects, but it almost seems like they might be inversely correlated with level. A clannie with the same skill said it was giving him an increase of ~15%, whereas for me (level 51.5 TT) it's an increase of ~0.05%. Something seems weird.--Stupac2 22:41, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

If it seems like a tiny percentage increase to a high level player, and a big one to someone lower, it could be an absolute increase --Hippoking 01:15, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

It's pretty good for ascensions; at lvl 2 it's equivalent to +400% HP for Muscle Classes, over +650% for non-Muscle. Through lvl 13 it's still better than Abs of Tin for Muscle classes, on average about as good as Spirit of Ravioli for non-Musc. LizardKing 21:55, 6 February 2012 (CET)

If this caps at +20HP for 10 uses, thats pretty expensive (2.5M) considering the cost of having to run enough instances to get them.--Pc goldman 12:42, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Is notes section trying to say that if you don't perm slime skills, the HP/MP/CI bonus is reset to 0 after ascension and you still can go back to 100%; otherwise, you keep the bonuses/percentage after ascension?--Tingly 18:46, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I suspect it's trying to say that the percentages persist across ascensions, whether you perm the skill or not. Also, does reaching 100% prevent you from perming it during future ascensions if you haven't already? --Itsatrap 20:16, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Perming?

Is this how it works? I perm it once at say 30%, then it will be 30% forever until I use another. at that point does it get bumped to 40% for all future ascensions? or does it need to be permed again?--vhalantru 20:03, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Clearly states this in the article. Essentially, the skill and the counter are two different things. The counter is never reset, not on ascension, not on failing to learn the skill, etc. The skill's effect is based on the counter, but you need the skill for the counter to be useful. --Val 00:23, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Val, if I'm understanding you correctly, I can perm it when I first get it (use it at that level) & then each subsequent one I use will, essentially, increase the level it's permed at? If you're saying the counter doesn't reset & the strength is based on the counter, then is that correct? Also, once you've used 10 you're at the maximum efficiency of the skill, correct? So, what would be the point of ever using any more over 10? Thanks for clarifying all this Mamph 15:24, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
