It appears stickers can fall off--Coolness 15:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

The item description probably actually refers to John Dillinger who crafted a fake gun out of soap (or wood depending on your sources) to escape from Crown Point, Indiana county jail. (Nosdarb)

  • ...or any other one of many similar incidents. MythBusters actually tested the idea of a paper crossbow, so if it's a specific reference it may well be to them. --Quietust (t|c) 00:41, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Power

I summoned the sword during Ronin so it had a power of 10. However, I got out of Ronin at level 10 and am now a level 13 and the sword still has a power of 10. The wiki says it should increase as I gain experience so why isn't the power increasing?

Quest Item?

Although the official description of this item states that it is a Quest Item, shouldn't the wiki clarify that this is an error? This is not a quest item. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stonecat (talkcontribs) on 10:14, 13 July 2009

  • In what sense is this an "error"? The Quest Item status of the S'n'S weapons is an absolutely critical part of their behavior - it's necessary to prevent any possibility of a player having two of them at once, which would break the illusion that you're actually modifying the weapon with the stickers. (In fact, the stickers are more like additional equipment slots - they aren't, and fundamentally cannot be, tied to a specific object in your inventory.) Being a Quest Item also prevents you from starting an ascension with a 100-power weapon with 3 stickers already applied to it. There's been some talk on radio shows about using a more generic term for items like this ("single-lifetime guarantee", perhaps), but nothing has come of it yet. --Jasonharper 23:44, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Item Description

Don't know if this is worth putting on the page itself, so here it is on the talk page: (a, the sort-of obvious) Its item description tells you its current enchantment. (b, the not-so obvious) If you're looking at someone else's profile and they've got one equipped, its description tells you *their* crossbow/sword's enchantment.--ArgghFW 21:39, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
