Talk:Sauceror
You know, it would be nice if the class pages had their epic weapons and hats listed. --Thræryn 01:00, 26 April 2006 (CDT)

Anyone else think it might be handy to list what the secondary stat is for every class on that classes page? --J12601 22:34, 4 October 2006 (CDT)

Sauce Spells
I'm starting to investigate the formulas for sauce spell damage, so I'll post this data here. The column "Bonus Damage" includes the bonus from Intrinsic Spiciness. the spells claim to scale with level, but mysticality is included just in case.--Payback 14:40, 2 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

The mean damage function is very ballpark and not percise, but appears to get there with the data so far. The wave of sauce appears to be right on. --Shagie 19:47, 17 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
Sauce Spells Damage Formulas
Okay, I've done extensive testing, and discovered the exact formulas for the all the Sauceror damage spells, except Saucegeyser (which I don't own yet). The formulas for these three spells follow the same pattern, and they scale with Mysticality and not with level (barring Intrinsic Spiciness, which works as explained in its page), regardless of what the spell descriptions say. In fact, the damage stated in the Saucestorm description is also untrue.
In the formulas, Mys is your buffed Mysticality (but is capped at a certain value for the first three spells, which depends on the spell, and shouldn't be capped for Saucegeyser), things like 3-4 denote a range (and not a substraction), and divisions are rounded down (so 39/10 would be equal to 3, for example).
And these are the formulas:
Stream of Sauce: (3-4)+(Mys/10) damage, Mys caps at 100.
Saucestorm: (14-18)+(Mys/5) damage, Mys caps at 125.
Wave of Sauce: (20-24)+(3*Mys/10) damage, Mys caps at 100.
I may be able to find out the formula for Saucegeyser soon, when I get to level 11. --Pcentella 22:14, 15 December 2005 (Central Standard Time)
- Just wanted to note that the description for Saucestorm doesnt match the effect (6-8 damage vs 14-18 damage) --Grimdel 14:14, 15 July 2006 (PST)
Post NS13 sauceror discussion
I don't think I like the silly damage cap on sauce spells. I quite liked being able to do 100+ damage with my 3MP-spell. But now this is the way things are and we have to accept it. Stream of Sauce seems to cap at 14-15 damage and then gives frozen/burning hand for 1 turn (ie it goes away after the battle). 13 damage leads to no effect. This will probably force me to use some kind of LTS strategy as a Sauceror which I didn't have to before. Either that or get my moxie up since I have no way of one-hit-killing monsters anymore :( What annoys me most about this is that if I collect 4000 meat and buys a cookbook I will hurt myself while using it. I hope the cap is somehow connected to your mysticality (probably unbuffed since buffing my myst seems to give me the same trouble as without it buffed). --Winterbay 14:46, 25 June 2007 (CDT)--
As a sauceror with Myst 39(26) I'm able to cast Stream for 17 damage without hurting myself. I get the appropriate "X hands" effect depending on hot or cold. Current spell damage at +23 (Gnoll spoon + Kickback Cookbook). Currently I'm attacking things in the Knob Treasury, so perhaps the target's ML affects the cap, if you were fighting lower level things. Or perhaps Saucerors just get a bigger cap, if you weren't a sauceror at the time. --Lokathor 16:22, 5 July 2007 (CDT)
Casting Wave of Sauce, followed by any other sauce spell, recovers a significant amount of MP. At least, it does if you are playing as a Sauceror. Not sure about other classes. --MattG987 16:56, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
I'm a level 36 sauceror...I tried all of the combinations of sauce spells (except starting with geyser, killed them first hit) and didn't recover any mp....are you sure about that?--Noneofyourdarnbusiness 00:02, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
I just noticed a HUGE difference in a Sauceror mechanic. My lv 30 Sauceror just made a reagent potion - one glass of goat's milk became 3 milks of magnesium! This was not limited to the milk - I made one tomato into three tomato juices of powerful power. Then I logged in as my HC multi, who has Advanced Saucecrafting HC permanent - one tomato equals one tomato juice of powerful power. My question: do ALL saucerors get three potions per ingredient, or is there a skill that bumps Sauceror production from two to three, and would bump non-saucerors from one to two? Please report... --Nyl 186 09:39, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
Saucerors get 3 Potions per Reagent and all other classes still have their 1:1 ratio.
Elemental Resistance
In the notes section, it says that the resistance doesn't apply to the daily dungeon or the mclargehuge quest. But during this run, my first sauceror one, I've managed to "skip" the last part of the quest and it worked fine when passing the tests in the dungeon. I think someone should confirm it, though. --Best22 23:30, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Curse of Marinara
The skill table only has one skill for level 6 - by process of elimination, Curse of Marinara is the other one, but is it the first one or the second one? --Quietust (t|c) 16:09, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
