Like many (all?) other skills with a use per day limit, you can use this skill for the day, ascend, and if you can get your Max MP up past 30 (and the necessary wads.), use it again.--InvalidUser 05:24, 16 July 2008 (CDT)

Potential rainbow pearl creation?

You know how pulverising certain objects might make a jewel instead of a wad? [[1]] what if it's the same here but just with an equaly low chance of occurance? We'll just have to wait and see.

  • I'm not sure what you mean. Would you mind elaborating? --Azrane 15:29, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
    • I think he means if you pulverize items such as the rainbow shield, you may have a small chance at a rainbow pearl, much like the gems.--Unhuman 15:39, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
  • Well the real question would be, "What do the rainbow pearl items pulverize into?", if they pulverize into regular wads, then hey, there you go, we've got odds (not necessarily *good* odds, but odds nonetheless). If they pulverize into Ultimate Wads, then your theory is shot, because there would be no way Jick would let players manufacture their own ultimate wads. --InvalidUser 16:57, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
  • I meant it in the 'during the creation of the wad itself' part.

--Tombot 17:56, 16 July 2008 (CDT)

    • Either way, the question applies. If rainbow pearl items pulverize into regular wads, then there is a chance that Rainbow gravitation makes Rainbow pearls as well, since the items that Rainbow Pearls make are on-par for the high end Hobopolis stuff (Dreamcoat, Whackin' Stick, etc.). If rainbow pearl items pulverize into Ultimate Wads, then the Rainbow gravitation skill either would makes rainbow pearls so rarely as to be an ultra-rare situation, or it simply wouldn't make them at all. Of course, all we can do is speculate until someone makes a post in the forum and everyone freaks out and the Rainbow's Gravity prices go berserk. --InvalidUser 19:41, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
      • Has anyone tried using this with all the wads in the closet and just the gems in the inventory? I dunno to be honest, the skill description is just vague enough to warrent a few tests at least.--Tombot 08:49, 17 July 2008 (CDT)
        • Tested this with no wads and only gems, as well as gems and twinkly wads. No dice-- it just told me I needed more wads. --Southwest 14:07, 24 July 2008 (CDT)

Tori Amos reference?

"think really deep thoughts" - I can't help but feel that "really deep thoughts" isn't a common or natural phrase. With a bit of reaching, I might argue that "It probably wasn't that important" supports this. I just /msg'd radiobugbear about it. --Raijinili 02:49, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Well, the Tori lyric is
So you found a girl/Who thinks really deep thoughts/What's so amazing about really deep thoughts?
I think if it was an intentional reference, they'd have worked the word amazing in there somewhere. --Starwed 21:18, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I'd think so, too. But again, "really deep thoughts" isn't common. --Raijinili 23:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't seem that unnatural to me. I suppose it's possibly a reference. Most of the first page of google search results either directly invoke Tori Amos, or are music-oriented sites one could wager were inspired by the line, at least. --Flargen 23:57, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Radio show says that Jick doesn't know (Makes him think of the Tori Amos song (I didn't ask about a specific message, I think.).). --Raijinili 07:52, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
