Talk:Purple Tongue
From TheKolWiki
Level 16 Sauceror, and I'm seeing a 100 maximum as well. What the article doesn't make clear, though, is that it isn't a random amount. Instead it is (max HP/MP + 1) - (current HP/MP) or 100, whichever is smaller. --Club 14:09, 4 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
I assume then that it use to make hardcore easier, especially concernin the NS ; ) What exactly was the difference then between the black snowcone and this purple one? ----Keripo 09:29, 5 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
- Purple Tongue restores 20 HP/MP after battle (used to be 100 but was tweaked), Black Tongue combines all other 5 snowcones effects (at the same time), inclucing purple. --NewZorkBat 09:38, 5 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
- It did make hardcore easier, though not with regard to the NS. Imagine this scenario:
- adventurer casts 100 MP worth (or as much as they can, if they have less than 100 MP) of various self-buffs
- adventurer fights a battle with some monster, after which 100 MP is restored
- adventurer casts another 100 MP worth of self-buffs
- adventurer fights another battle, after which 100 MP is restored
- lather, rinse, repeat
- After a few cycles of this, the adventurer is swimming in several days' worth of free buffs. Since the NS removes all buffs, it made no difference for her, but it made a big difference in everything leading up to her. -- Old Ned 03:22, 6 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
did something change?
- showing my ignorance, but i'm not getting any hp or mp if i get beaten up. was this always the case? --Evilkolbot 12:35, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yup, you have to win a combat to get the restorative burp. Lose or run away (and, I think, molybdenum magneting something) don't work. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
