Talk:Path of the Mole
This page needs to be done, like Path of the Roach. I'd do it, but I don't know where to begin. Also, this could be used as a central repository for data we collect for mole adventures.--Oddity 21:48, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
- I'd get a start on it, but I can't find any clear information on how the non-combats are controlled. Is it through using Tunnel Upwards/Tunnel Downwards/use neither in every combat in the Mount? So, for example, Foggy's first pass in Talk:Mt. Molehill, tunnel up, do neither, tunnel up to force non-combat 1; down, up, up to force NC2, etc (good grief, 39 possibilities to map?)... or is there some special non-combat choice adventures that haven't been listed on Mt. Molehill yet? --Bagatelle 22:27, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
- I posted a theory on the talk page there, so I'll start there tomorrow. Might not get up for a bit.--Oddity 22:36, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
- Erm, rather, I posted it at Talk:Shape of...Mole!--Oddity 22:49, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
The table doesn't look very nice, but it should be correct. I didn't test every single possibility, instead, whenever two levels had the same adventure, I assumed that all levels in between had the same one as well. The only one I'm a bit unsure about is Step 3, level 3, because I may have messed up and I'm out of meat for gongs. --Missim 03:50, 2 June 2008 (CDT)
I count 14 different possible sequences of rewards. --Raijinili 04:25, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Pushing Limits
What happens if you use the free runaway method to get, say, higher than +3 for the first noncombat? --TimRem 03:01, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- I was farming up a pile of digital underground potions for a slime run, and wondered this myself, so I took a bunch of trips to find out. I tested Step 1 at each point from -4 to -10 and +4 to +10, Step 2 at each point from -7 to -10 and +7 to +10, and Step 3 at -10 and +10 since I was already there. I found that all "out of bounds/free runaway manipulation" outcomes for Step 1 result in the Cravin' adventure, and for Step 2 and 3 will result in a Molehill combat adventure instead of a reward noncombat. Updating the page shortly. --Terion 03:59, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
