Slang is not the same as Ebonics (AAVE). I tried to change it once, but got overwritten. Please acknowledge. FlawlessWalrus 09:34, 28 March 2007 (CDT)

According to wikipedia, slang is "the use of highly informal words and expressions that are not considered standard in the speaker's dialect or language." Since the context here is not AAVE, the phrase is not part of the implied dialect, and as such I think can be called slang. (The use of a French word in English can still be slang, even if it is a formal part of it's native tongue.) --Starwed 10:54, 28 March 2007 (CDT)
Thank you. I changed it already, but it's good to have some support. FlawlessWalrus 14:22, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
