can we start getting quantatative information on ode's adventure-giving scale? --Milimetersquared 19:07, 15 May 2006 (CDT) -milimetersquared

I drank a Disco Bandit drink (base 10-14 adv) yesterday with Ode active and got 18 adventures out of it, so DB drinks count as the highest quality, giving +4 adventures. It's possible that the actual bonus is simply +1 adv/drunk but capped at +4 (otherwise TPS drinks would get +6 adventures, which is quite a lot). --Quietust 19:17, 15 May 2006 (CDT)

I drank 4 DB drinks today (rockin' wagons) and got 13, 18, 18, and 16 adventures from them. Since the standard is 10-14, this indicates that +3 or +4 is possible. (Indeed, +0 is possible on the 13.)--Hellion 21:04, 15 May 2006 (CDT)

You could have just gotten 10 adventures, then +3 from ode. --Fly boy42 21:46, 15 May 2006 (CDT)

Yes, that's why I said "+3 ... is possible".  :-) However, a flat +4 is right out. --Hellion 14:31, 17 May 2006 (CDT)

Wow, very nice work on Darth's part... but the plus sign in the modified Adv/Drunk column confused me a great deal at first in that the column doesn't list any bonus to adventures per drunkenness, but rather the total including Ode. Possibly the plus sign should be removed? Also, and I may just do this myself, it'd be nice to see final ranges for each of the drinks, since not everybody knows the drunkenness imparted by each by memory. --03:47, 31 January 2007 (CST)

Please do -- I was just copying in the info from his forum post.--DirkDiggler 06:56, 31 January 2007 (CST)

Ode to Booze and the Micromicrobrewery

Does the ode to booze have any effect on booze drank from micromicrobrewery? --Stevetek 11:29, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

  • AFAIK, micromicrobrewery booze is the same as other booze in every respect except its immediate consumption. --Evilkolbot 14:30, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

Ode to Booze and Choice Adventures

Does the ode to booze have any effect on booze consumed from within choice adventures? Preliminary data from Hobopolis drinks suggest that Ode has no effect on adventure gain from booze consumption in the marketplace. --Dunsel 16:57, 28 July 2008 (CDT)

"Other" effects?

Even though it depends on that page, what can we do to reference the free runaways when using a Frumious Bandersnatch? -- Kalon999 03:38, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

  • An unofficial standard of this Wiki is that classes of articles with a certain global behaviour don't have that behaviour noted on their pages, when that class is "large" (c.f., soft greens removing effects, hats and Hatracks, the specific Ode adventure bonus for each booze). We prefer to stick a note on the "complete index"-style pages (e.g., hats, Best Booze). That being said, I don't think anyone's going to stop you if you want to note Bandersnatch effects on each guild skill page. --BagatelleT/C 00:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

2 Odes?

How come, on every buffbot I've seen, it has ode listed twice? What's with that? Starguy 02:21, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Different amounts of turns (for those just seeing a nightcap vs those wanting it for longer use)? --Lordebon 02:32, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Sept 8 update

Which Jick's changes to eating and drinking, Ode to Booze has changed. You now lose 1 turn of Ode to Booze for each drunkeness a drink gives you and gain 1 Adventure in its place.--Fluxxdog 00:23, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Will the adventure gains still be the same for a 4 drunk drink when you have 4 turns of ode as opposed to 1? Greenen72 23:09, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Though I can't say I've tested this, my understanding would be that you get 4 bonus adventures if you have 4 turns of Ode for the 4-drunkenness drink, and 1 bonus adventure if you only have 1 turn of Ode. --timrem 23:30, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Also, you don't get any adventures for a Steel Margarita when you have this one. Add this to both pages? Greenen72 23:35, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Either oddly or appropriately, consuming a steel margarita with ode to booze active doesn't knock any turns off the effect. Which if the idea is that this beverage will never provide turns, it makes sense that the two don't interact at all.--Noskilz 21:05, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
