Price Compare

I've cooked up a CGI that can compare the prices of various non-combat restore items (including taking level into account for MMJs. Enter prices and level and it will calculate and sort for best value.

MP Restore Cost Comparison

Hopefully other people will find it useful. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Reuse of Category Page

Feeling empowered by the recent Supreme Court eminent domain decision, I've taken over the category redirect page!  :)

Actually, this anticipates the imminent demise of the category as discussed here. --Gymnosophist 01:20, 27 Jul 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

add to list

I don't know the standards for adding stuff to the charts but Velcro Boots wasn't listed --Lemon-claw 17:40, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

MP Restored at Campground

Are you sure the MP gained when resting is a range (depending on your type of house)? I rested many times on my last ascension as a TT, and I always got the max of that range for MP (though HP did have a range). Maybe that's because I was a Wallaby, or it's like that for everyone? --Pcentella 07:44, 27 Jul 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

  • I relied on the information in the resting article. I don't have direct personal experience as I never rest. --Gymnosophist 07:55, 27 Jul 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
  • Now I've rested as a Packrat DB several times, and MPs gained when resting don't fluctuate (whereas HP do). Updating pages to reflect this. --Pcentella 07:53, 6 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

MP Regen Versus MP Restorers

With the addition of the Yak anorak and Yak toupee there are a large number of equipment items and a couple of buffs (Heart of Orange and Purple Tongue mainly) that restore MP every adventure. These should probably be separated out from the one-shot MP restoratives and put into their own category, if not their own page. --Wildfire393 00:40, 20 April 2007 (CDT)

  • I'd agree with that. --Starwed 00:50, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
  • I also agree. The "instant" uses should be separated from items that require adventures to gain MP. --TheDotGamer 02:54, 20 April 2007 (CDT)

I went ahead and split the regen items into their own table as a first step. --Starwed 01:08, 31 May 2007 (CDT)

Adventures that Restore MP

With the addition of non-combats like Down by the Riverside, should a new section be created? --Bagatelle 22:22, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

Formatting Catastrophe

The colspan entries in the first table are completely ruining the ability to sort on any column but the first. On the other hand, I don't know why the table is sortable, because most of the columns are worded in a way that is useless for sorting. This is pretty much a usability disaster, which unfortunately I don't have time to fix myself right now. --Jonrock 15:25, 20 August 2008 (CDT)

MP from familiars

is there a reason for the GGG not listed in the familiars section? If someone doesn't have a good reason, I'll add it. --Zombiepops 20:26, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

  • Interestingly, I brought up a similar point at Talk:HP Restorers#The Continuing Quest to Reduce Duplicated Content. Maintaining mechanics lists is a severe pain in the <arm> because every time Jick adds or changes something, millions of pages need to get updated. I truly think it'd be easier to just maintain the familiar items on the familiar page and link to it from here. --BagatelleT/C 05:05, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

As to the restoratives (both effects and equipment) that have their effect at the end of each adventure (Nurse's hat, purple tongue, etc.) should we change the wording on the tables from "Turn" (which, in combat, implies to me that they occur every turn, though I personally have been playing long enough to know better) to "Adventure" (which is hard to misunderstand for anyone)?--Lukarnis 06:20, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Unstable quark?

Shouldn't the Unstable quark be in the list?/Rb0ne 20:33, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Yanking familiar section

I decided to remove the familiar section's data, and instead point people to the Familiar by Type page. It's hard enough trying to keep one list updated, we don't need it twice, and out-of-date. I plan on doing the same on the HP page.

If some decides they want it back, then I ask that they take the time to update it as well with all of the new familiars that need to be added to it. --Foggy 15:00, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
